This is a majestic piece and U of Michigan offer a stellar performance. I had the privilege of playing it as solo trumpeter my senior year in the Bradford High School Band, Starke FL, in 1979. It is nice to know that bands through the decades have played and enjoyed Fanfare and Allegro. Bravo!

I agree with bersa888, below. Our great universities and of course military bands have a wonderful tradition of presenting this thrilling music. Playing some of these great pieces is very nearly life changing. I like listening to Revelli's U. of Mich. band because though he had a large band in terms of numbers each track of his bands is crisp, clear and on point.

I was very fortunate to have Bill Revelli as the clinician for the OMEA All-State Band in 1964..such a master clinician, conductor, and friend!
