I've been waiting and waiting for a good parkour game since I played Mark Eko's getting up, which was about tagging more than parkour but still, I can't wait to try this!
One thing I've always loved about your vids is how much respect you give to the games you show off by learning and understanding the mechanics and details first, not to mention the respect given to the viewers by giving them a proper well rounded impressions video in exchange for their time! Refreshing compared to some creators who just jump in and fail to display the full breadth and intent of what they're playing. Cheers for the vid tomo!
YES! I've had my eyes on that one too. Storror know what they're talking about when it comes to parkour and the simulations in that game already look insanely realistic.
@@Tomographic back Storror Parkour Pro a while ago, and while the playable build is still pretty bare bones you can see the potential. Really excited for that to hopefully actually come out, but this looks to scratch the itch while we wait.
You're the first reviewer I've seen on this game to highlight the music (and that Mr. Dev is the artist too!), which the fact that it fits the parkour vibe so well is crazy! The music adds that extra dimension that I can see myself easily just running around and grooving while tricking out. The music was half the vibe of watching parkour videos way back when, and it definitely creates that same vibe!
@@chemj0e2003 Make me the second person. I've heard about Overgrowth ever since NerdCubed played it 12-something years ago. Way before it ever came to Steam. Holy moly, time flies!
In the Discord this has been discussed and he's so far ruled out multiplayer, doesn't feel like he'd be able to do it as a solo developer with limited experience.
Something I don't see people mention about this game is how well done the sound design is. Everything about it is great, but the quality of the sounds is really what holds it all together for me personally. The distinct noises the different body parts make when interacting with the map, like the noise of the hands when you do a cat pass? Man. It's so pristine and immersive. I literally spent a good hour or so figuring out what things sounded the best to do and made a string out of them and listened at full volume. For a parkour game with incredible fluidity, I really didn't expect the depth of the sound design to be the thing that stands out to me most. Insanely well done by the dev.
See tomo this is why I think your one of the best out there the sheer variety on your channel keeps it fresh ill probably never even play this not really my thing and im a console player womp womp but im glad you did a video on it I do like the soundtrack tho reminds of early Need for Speed and Madden games
Thank you for covering this! id not heard of it before, i have to check it out!!! i love mirrors edge/dying light so much and this scratches that itch so well!
Would love to see the FAST squad take this on and seeing Stone fall everywhere would be worth it. All for solo creators and there new concepts for games.
whatever you're into i guess...looks as boring as a family get together with my family from the 1600's... or I guess a picnic alone in a graveyard...wish I had a $5000 pc to play original Nintendo fails!
I would kill to see an assassin's creed game with this kind of movement system... looks super cool! thanks for showcasing this, might have to pick it up :3
Yo the potential of this game is absolutely insane imagine whole cities that you can run skyscrapers, jump or gap achievements; this game could be insane
I don't know how the game works but it feels like it could use some rhythmic gameplay features like tapping button in the rhythm of the music to give boost of speed for each successful tap. And other similar features. Basically making the game "OSU" parkour where each special movement requires tapping/holding down buttons etc. to get more speed. Pretty sure that would bring in alot people who like OSU and trackmania type games where you want to be at the top of the scoreboard worldwide.
Imagine this having Multiplayer with Proximity Voice Chat running around the map with friends or strangers...this could be super fun. The spiderman web shooters won't fit well in this game tbh. I wish they add more moves idk if there's so many moves already but just hard to execute but more parkour moves would be more fun.
Not that far into the video yet so you may say this. Reminds me of Tony Hawk meets Mirrors Edge.. meets Riders Republic,, maybe.. Thinking it would be cool to get extra points if you do your tricks to the rythem of the music... Music and a celebration of movement.
Unpopular opinion... I don't really care for this game. Very clunky and controls don't always work for me. I'm still waiting for the official storror parkour sim. That looks promising.
I really hope the creator decides to port this to console, not only because I’d kill to play this cuz I can’t afford a PC but also because of the popularity. There is 100% a ton of people who are console exclusive but would die for a game like this, there’s barely anything like this game on console so it would be a dream.
Love the first person it's a bit slow on vaults but absolutely incredible. Maybe this is just me but my eyes are all over the place when I'm doing it so the directness of it is a bit weird personally 😂
I would like the next parkour update to add wall running in real life, it's been missing for years at this point and the community has asked for it for many years more.
the community is hard at work on making a mod for this and its really funny how much chaos was happening there (the excel sheet that was terrorize it was not a fun moment)
Mirror's edge is a different game, it's just that their mechanics are very similar. This game seems very much focused on the mechanics of urban acrobatics, but Mirror's Edge had a story and was also a puzzle game, which interrupts flow. This game seems to prioritize flow.
9:41 aaa exactly like this. For who cares this is called a stick, as in sticking the landing. It was initially used to practice landing with control, if you could hold it for like 3 seconds it meant that you stuck the landing. With that in mind you can do a lot of cool challenges in all variations
Yooo! Thanks for sharing my game with your audience! Happy to see you enjoying it so far :)
Thanks for making a dope game and dope music 🫀
Legend. Keep up the great work, Michel. Excited to see how the game continues to develop 🤟

Yoooooooo so I'm not the only one who heard of or loved that game@@abcdefgcdefg5178
this game screams for a workshop page or custom map creator
"Construction Site feels like a work in progress"
So we can say it's still under construction, eh?
Noice😂😂
😂😂
Imagine a pvp Tag kind of mode in this game. A couple people taking turns trying to chase eachother down and out perform each other
Jyst a small bases 2 to 4 player multipayer would be ace , follow my leader etc
I commented on the devs video that idea earlier this week. If he answers I’ll let you know
this is exactly what mirrors edge catalyst missed out on. god i love that game.

Really appreciate that. Nice to hear someone acknowledge that particular aspect of the videos I make, thank you!
Very well said, maybe there is hope for humanity
For real dude, so much more fun to watch when someone knows how to play a game than watch them fail and try to figure stuff out for 30 minutes

Seeing you doing all these tricks in this game reminds me of you playing Rider's Republic. Loved watching you play that game too!
Mirrors Edge reskinned. Looks good though!
I was thinking the same!!
Yes Tomo. We need another Mirrors Edge style of game.
How many people falling of roofs after playing this 🤣

If this Game comes to Console, its a must buy for me, loved Mirrors Edge back in the Day ✌️💚
My son is convinced he bought this game first, he's from South Africa and waited in front of his pc for it to get released 😂
We been needed a good parkour game for years
The dev should definately add grinding shoes to grind all the rails around the maps
Now I wanna play mirrors edge
trying to look through his spotify and i cant find the track that plays at 2:00
This is a free to play vibe
I thought this was skate 4 for a second 😭😭
Tomographic, Yay! I liked this video so much, it made me smile!
the potential this has as a game platform is crazy.
Can’t wait till STORROR drops their parkour game
Seems like the indie version of Mirror's Edge
Reminds me of the last VR game I played, Stride. Sold my VR after playing that game for way too long and being sick.
Looks impressive. I'm not really into parkour games, but I'd happily buy the soundtrack if it becomes available.

They should add custom lobbies for any amount of players, like 1v1 up to 10v10
Yeah chappie is nice

just wishlisted this, so good to have a recommendation from Tomo
I would like the next parkour update to add wall running in real life, it's been missing for years at this point and the community has asked for it for many years more.
Niche game. If the gameplay loop is just running around doing stunts, I'd give it a generous 1 day before uninstalling.
Reminds me of an old parkour game on xbox would be sick playing tag with friends. Also eventually come to console 😅
This type of parkour would be pretty sweet in a cops and Roberts type game. Imagine this in a game like payday but all PvP
games like this are completely dependent on banger music. WIthout music to create a flow and rhythm is boring AF
2:28 ok this guy is an OP gamedev. xd
A map editor and modding allowed will keep the community engaged for years while your working on the game's main features!!!
Now, imagine Assassins Creed in modern settings with all this engine and beyond...
How much souls would you pay?
the community is hard at work on making a mod for this and its really funny how much chaos was happening there (the excel sheet that was terrorize it was not a fun moment)
I recognize the amazing dexterity of people that do... parkour. That being said. It is all very inefficient.
Damn, reminds me how much i enjoyed playing Mirrors Edge when it came out. Shame the second one was kinda naff and they ruined it
a multiplayer "tag" mode would be insane but definitely think having more maps would be the best thing for the game's immediate future
The movement and parkour elements of this game put into "Out of action"...that would be kinda sick.
No discredit to the developer but why is everyone hyping this unfinished game up if there's no actual game there yet?
Looks like a great game, but I can’t handle that “Music”. I would have to turn that off.
You should try some of these moves on the golf course. I saw you wipe the fast crew this morning on Stone's channel.
I mean it's cool and all, but being pretty good at parkouring irl I don't really need a game to do it xD
hoho just wait for storror parkour game,
i think lah this one is arcadee like
that storror game is kinda realistic
I feel like this movement would be great with guns in some 5v5 pistols and shotguns game
Why does the game dev and the mask your wearing look like BTSM? 😂❤
Been following the progress of this game on instagram for months now. Bro deserves the hype....
When Skate 4 finally comes out it will have some sort of parkour aspect to it as well
Did you try the Storror Parkour Pro? If so, is it any good? I love their vids.
Wasn't expecting Tom to be a Die Antwood fan
I saw them live at V festival in 2011. What a wild performance that was 😂
Great intro, the barrel roll transition was smooth.
imagine an Assassins creed game with these movement mechanics, it would be golden.
I was bored after the first 12 seconds, no point in lying about it.
It’s insane how much this single developer’s investment is paying off
not a lot of people talk about chappie anymore so crazy that someone still knows about it

Thought you played as a giant on the thumbnail lol
i've been following this game for over a year on Instagram, so glad it finally got to see sales! Hope it comes to console one day
