What I appreciate about this is that we learn that the ancestors aren’t just for the sinnoh characters showing that down the line people started migrating to different regions
I like how even though they all share similar attributes with their counterparts they're still relatively unique enough to be acceptable but then Rye is literally just Riley. Even the name is basically the same. This man's entire family tree is just "guy with lucario"
Considering in my family, the 300 year old tradition was to name male children James, Arthur, Thomas, Jacob, Theodore, Edward, etc. I don’t see it as that odd
I think it’s during some kind of post WW2 in Japan where US culture starts to set in , people start to wear suit (Prof Levinton) and reverse weaboo start to exist (Cowboy hat Liam),
I'm pretty sure Lian and Clay are meant to white Americans. And it would make sense due to the game being set in the equivalent of the Meiji Restoration which started from the US forcibly opening up Japan to the West.
@@bunnybird9342 Nah apparently the idea for Clay at least in the Japanese version was that he represents Japanese people who moved to America and made it big there, so it's likely that Clay like his ancestor was from Sinnoh and moved to Unova to find fortune before managing to strike gold.
Some others that weren't noted in the vid that I'm not 100% on but feel like could be true: - Charm is both Bertha and Agatha, since she has Bertha's scarf, yet is from Kanto and wears purple. She also uses Gengar and Rhydon - I believe Palina is the ancestor of Burgh. Somewhat similar hair, and her bandana is tied kind of in a butterfly pattern, like Burgh's belt buckle - I *think* Melli is Jupiter's ancestor. They have similar facial structures, and while the hair isn't exactly a match, it is generally purple-ish. Also Melli uses Skuntank, which is the strongest indicator IMO
With you on Charm. Not sure about Palina. She could also be the ancestor of Klara, who also has a butterfly theme. Palina's wavy hair resembles the ends of Klara's, and her history is similar to Klara's (being slighted for an important position but later accepting it and training to become better). Melli is weird because Jupiter is conspicuously absent otherwise, and the Skuntank is a huge indicator, but he just looks nothing like her. Even just his hair being pink would sell it, so why isn't it?
Given his mannerisms, clothing choice, and speech patterns, I'd say Laventon is probably the ancestor of Hop and Leon. He speaks like an Englishman, and his skin tone, facial hair, and revolving around the color purple leads me to believe he's not only Galarian, but also related to Hop and Leon.
Omg it was bugging me so much who he reminded me of but I think you hit it. He even passed down his love for research to Hop! Maybe going a bit far, but his huge pompom might even be a reference to Wooloo.
Not to forget that the character that you don't choose to play with is your ancestor. For example: If you play as a male, the female protagonist is your ancestor and viceversa.
especially since this game is supposed to be a sequel/prequel to the bdsp/dmp games! the player character looks like the pc’s from those games, and is about 15 years old (the pokemon pc’s are normally 10-11 years old)
@@hylophobix if we will go by story canon, one possible explanation is that the player has gained access to spear pillar and met with arceus after the player defeated Cynthia. And this is where the isekai story begins. So this is the missing arceus event that never happened in Diamond and Pearl. Why do I say this? HeartGold and SoulSilver has the celebi time travel plot.
It’s so cool that instead of just having the ancestors be the same character with a different name, they all feel like their own character and look very different yet similar enough that you can see the family resemblance
Charm is also the ancestor of agatha from kanto’s E4, she uses a gengar & rhydon (ghost & ground types) it’s meant to basically link the theory that agatha & Bertha might be related due to their similar hairstyles, complete opposite personalities etc
I really appreciate that not just a few, but a lot of the ancestors are the opposite gender of their modern counterpart. The "Almost-Identical Ancestor" trope almost always makes the ancestor the same gender and it feels a lot more interesting and less contrived this way.
“A lot” uh… I count about 5-6? And that’s when you count Cynthia having two ancestors… I wouldn’t say 5-6 is a lot when you compare it to like 10+ who match the gender
There were a few characters that were confirmed (somewhat) by game freak as ancestors of some modern day characters until Pokémon themselves explicitly state that these are ancestors of some modern characters, our only legitimate explanation is going by looks alone, with some added evidence such as behaviors, mannerisms and even Pokémon in their teams.
Fun fact Lian enjoys rocks and ore which leads to Clay's mining business, guess it runs in the family. For many of them you can see traits passed down to their descendants and not just by pokemon or appearance, example Volo and Cogita with a knack for studying legends and history (Also with Ancient sinnoh blood means same for Cynthia). For Charm, Clover and Coin are they actual sisters or is it just a term? Since Clover was from the diamond clan, Coin once from Pearl and Charm came from Kanto.
I think the Miss Fortune sisters are each other’s chosen family. Not sisters by blood, but by choice. They’re there for each other, but not biologically related. Clover, I think, was the one to point that out in the Cobalt Coastlands iirc.
i enjoy the fact that a lot of these ancestors aren't really major characters, they're more like lil easter eggs. like i completely missed gardenia's ancestor being the farm guy, and it's perfect for her being a grass specialist and all :)
Honesty the only one I figured out besides Cyrus's ancestor was Mars' ancestor, and that's just cause I like greek and roman mythology. Mars is the roman equivalent of Ares. Are(s/z)u!
well of course this is realistically how gangs start, they start out for a good cause then someone Old or new starts some kind of Goal they think they can complete. But team galatic isnt evil in the modern day, they just to create a better world. Which I can completely relate to.
That's because in reality, every person had a different kind of profession, not all people aren't always related or connected. So it makes sense that Team Galactic are formed by people who used to be entire different people from each other
I would also say Pesselle is also ancestor to Nurse Joy, as she does bear some resemblance, is a nurse, and after completing her quest to get a Croagunk, mentions wanting to make something akin to a Pokecenter.
I love that we have all these different ancestors, and then there’s legit just ingo who kinda just appeared there with amnesia. Like when I first saw him I had to do a double take because the resemblance to ingo was uncanny, only to learn that it was actually ingo. Can’t help but wonder if Pokémon will do anything with that if they make more legends games. Edit: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR ALL THE LIKES!!! I somehow have more likes than mandjtv’s comment, and he’s an actual Pokémon centered TH-camr! So thanks for agreeing with me on the sheer insanity that is ingo being the fourth official faller (I forgot about mohn), and wondering how long until they all become relevant or who will be next.
Something happened at some point in the 2nd universe, because this is the second time we've heard about people dropping somewhere with amnesia from another time and place. First was Looker in ORAS, and now Ingo
Actually Charm implied to be the ancestor of both Bertha and Agatha. It’s shown in her mannerisms, dressing style, Pokémon type and species she uses. Also that she is from Kanto, but traveled to Hisui which would later of course become modern Sinnoh.
I love how the more antagonistic characters are a mix of descendants from both good and bad characters in the modern games. It makes things a bit less obvious. And I got only about maybe two thirds of these and I feel silly for not getting the other ones.
same, for most of them i knew that they seemed familiar but i couldn’t put my finger on who they were referencing (and in the case of the pearl clan dude from alabaster icelands who’s name i forgot and can’t check bc i’m on mobile, i realized literally like 2 seconds before they cut to a picture of wulfrick)

Yea I sadly didn’t make the Cynthia-Volo connection until the end of the game with the theme and his Pokémon! Would have been cool to notice that earlier.
There's a chance that Rye is actually Riley himself because in Platinum, when you talk to Byron in the villa, he says something like "Riley's quite mysterious. To tell you the truth, I don't know how old he is." Name-wise, Rye isn't that different from Riley in name (in Japanese it's Haku from white rice whereas Gen is for brown rice). Looks-wise, they are identical apart from some minute changes to hair length. Furthermore, when you battle Rye his lines are nearly identical to Riley's (merely swapping "my" to "us"). I'm pretty convinced it's Riley switching his name through time.
You know how when there is a historical episode about a character's ancestor in a cartoon or even anime or not even that, said character is a clone of their parent or vice versa its like that
In the some other languages (at least at the Japanese version) he literally says English in some cutscenes, including the "Wake up!" right at the beginning (I thought I chose the wrong language XD). Most likely from Galar
Actually, I think Charm is also Agatha’s ancestor. Clover uses Abomasnow (relating to Candice) and Coin uses Toxicroak (relating to Saturn). While Charm does use a Rhydon (relating to Bertha), her ace is technically Gengar (by one level according to the fight before the third noble). Plus, she said she was from the Kanto region, so I think she leans more to Agatha than Bertha, but maybe Agatha and Bertha are distant relatives because of Charm. Just a theory.
My theory is that Laventon is related to Hop and Leon: He uses european terms like jolly and pardon, implying that he's at least from the region that will probably be known as Galar. Some Pokedex entries outright confirm he's from Galar as it is implied he writes the entries. He has the same exact skin tone as Leon and Hop. When excited, he moves his arms in front of him before giving two thumbs up which looks very similar to an animation Hop has. His design has some similarities to both. For starters, his pants (Which are black with golden stripes) are the exact same as Leon's shirt without the logo. His beanie is puffy, just like how both brothers have puff on their jackets. All three have black eyebrows with Leon and Laventon having similar beards. While we don't know the professor's haircolor, it's gotta be hidden for a reason. Both Hop and the Laventon focus into being researchers. His hat is the same color (but not shade) as Hop and Leon's hair. If you wanna be silly, taking away the a v n t from his name spells Leon. No rearrangement needed. He smiles at the player a lot, has very high energy, and loves spending time with the main character. He's very goofy but kind.
I think Peselle was who really sold it for me, considering how minor a character Mira is. Also seeing actual Ingo just walking around was pretty insane
Ingo made me drop my jaw, I kept seeing similar characters from past games and thinking hey are they ancestors or some, then boom ingo came and I lost it 😂
This legends style is genius for the future of Nintendo. Think about the lore setup they can do. Of course, we can show characters ancestors but also the opposite, setting up characters as descendants of legends games. Can you imagine in gen 9 if we meet Adaman’s descendant? There is some potential here
I am still conviced that Cogita is litteraly Cynthia (but older). She looks the same but with grey hairs, genders are the same, she knows way too much about the Sinnoh legends (like the red chain) and most of all: look at her outfit. It really doesn't match.
I like how some of the ancestors of good characters are evil and some ancestors of evil characters are good. It just goes to show that the apple doesn't always fall close to the tree.
There's a scene in the post game with the new update where Cyllene promises to pass down the name of the Galaxy Expedition to her ancestors. Nice going, Cyllene!
The possibility of Calaba being a potential ancestor of Mina might be a reference to some Normal types such as Clefairy and Jigglypuff obtaining the Fairy type, as Calaba has a Bibarel and is the protector of Ursaluna, both being Normal types
@@harveycustodio2625 Yeah I think she's dead too. What ticks me off to think that was her quest to be get 107 souls. When I read that I stop and said "What the number wasn't supposed to be 108? Wait..."
What's confusing me is Cogita though. It's true she shares the same hairstyle with Cynthia, but she also hinted that she's kinda immortal or very long-lived, and to me it seems the game is also hinting she could be related to Arceus in some way (maybe another Arceus incarnate?). While Volo is already undoubtedly considered as ancestor of Cynthia, it's just really confusing to me how he could be connected to Cogita that they would end up in love, or maybe Volo's descendent ends up in love with Cogita? Hope the DLC would explain more about identity of Cogita and her connection to Volo/Cynthia family.
Pretty sure Volo and Cogita were in a relationship throughout the game. It’s hinted at a lot. Volo even calls her “mistress” and she rebukes him for that. Seems like Cogita wanted them to be official, but obviously Volo had other priorities.
Even if Volo and cogita were in a relationship, it wouldn't make sense because she's a old lady who can't procreate and pretty sure Volo wasnt born/not of age when she could bear children
@@rinlila6974 Why do you think Cogita is an old lady? The only thing about her that looks old is her white hair, but that’s not a good indicator of age in Pokémon games. Bede and Roxie have white hair, and they’re definitely not old.
I believe sanqua is also Clairs ancestor, in the side quest that has you look for the pichu in her house you can look in her closet and it describes a small suit with a cape
I also feel like Adaman could be an ancestor of gordie from swsh. Mostly because of the similarities with the hair but if you pay attention they share a couple animations and gordies official art is in the same signature pose we see from adaman constantly. There are a couple others I could mention like magnolia and palina or iscan and nessa but I don’t have as much evidence for those.
I was so freaked out when I saw Clover, like all the others are similar but man that threw a heavy ball at my face. Also I immediately recognized Ingo because Gen 5 is the game I’ve played the most, well soon to be 2nd most :)
When I first played the game, I thought the world we dropped into was an alternate world from an almost Doom timeline from the Diamond and Pearl events. I hope Pokemon continues to make games like this in the future.
I think Charm is the ancestor to both Agetha and Bertha, she is the only one of the bandits to have more than two pokemon and they are rhydon(bertha) and gengar(Agatha). I remember hearing a theory somewhere that agatha and bertha are related (Don't remember where). But the fact Charm has both of those pokemon basically confirms it for me.
I feel like Adaman is Ghetsis’s ancestor. There’s something about his manner of speech and his outfit and those eyes that make him have almost a Ghetsis feel. I’m guessing he really is an original character, since Irida is pretty much original herself, after all, she can’t be an ancestor of a Pokémon protagonist because I’m sure that there will be more legends games, and the MC’s of those will be ancestors of other pokemon MC’s. But the really important part is… I wish they did more with Ingo. Of course, we didn’t help Looker or Annabel regain her memories a little bit, but I would of really wished for us to somehow help Ingo with a side quest or something. Ingo supremacy!
Awesome video. Of course knew who ere Cynthia's and Cyrus' ancestors but never imagined a lot of the connections like that Ginter was supposed to be the ancestor of Volkner
*SPOILERS* I love how quite a few ancestors almost have reversed roles, with Cyrus’ ancestor working for good and Cynthia’s ancestor being the closest thing to a villain that the game has
Yeah, leading to the hypothesis that the Galaxy Team eventually loses its way and becomes Team Galactic, while Cynthia ends up trying to atone for her ancestor's goals by guiding you to stop Cyrus (in Platinum, anyway).
@@spooky4892 Bruh, these are like, ancient ancestors. They're probably dead even before the characters from our timelines great-great-great grandparents were even born

So I've noticed that all the Pearl clan ancestor characters are ancestors of characters not in Sinnoh in modern day like Lian to Clay (Unova) Calaba to Mina (Alola) and Gaeric to Wulfric (Kalos)
Maybe it was intentional, but i think that goes to the pearl clans motto of stretching across space. Also Ingo, from the battle subway in black and white and fellow rift denizen, is also part of the pearl clan.

Some people have suggested that Irida may be related to Serena. I'm not so sure on this one. Their hair colors and eye colors aren't that similar, but I can see it in terms of the face shape, it's more evident in game than in her official artwork. And their clothes have a somewhat similar color scheme. I guess their names sound similar?? But she looks just as much like May as she does Serena- similar face shape and color scheme clothing-wise, also has a red hairpiece, and her hairstyle is similar to May's. Also May used a Glaceon in the anime and Irida's partner is a Glaceon. Of course, Irida may not be ANYONE'S ancestor considering that Adaman doesn't seem to be related to anyone.
this is the best video I've seen on this topic, in terms of presentation, everything was clear and consistent, I really appreciate it! clearest information
I like how they're ancestors don't have the same role as their descendents. Members of Team Galactic being the good guys and Candice basically being a highwayman is especially interesting. But what's even more interesting is that Clay, Mina and Wulfric are apparently all of Japanese descent. Aaaand I'm just gonna pretend I knew that Flint and Buck were related
Calaba is actually the ancestor of Melony and Gordie, since it's short for Calabash, a type of gourd, and she has Gordie's un-styled hair. Also the calabash gourd is the basis for Hyota, Roark's Japanese name, so the two rock-type gym leaders are related!
Also Rei is Lucas's ancestor and Akari is Dawn's depending on which protagonist you choose and of course, Volo is Cynthia's ancestor. I didn't know Cynthia's had two..
@Cryptic GothGeek they definitely should be doing dlc for this game so I wouldn't be surprised if he/she shows then! The fact that Barry's ancestor wasn't in game yet was a huge surprise given the fact he plays your rival in D/P. I feel if anything it will be in the DLC.
@@fluffcake Hmm...well Volo was already the bad guy so I doubt Barry's would be, but who knows! Perhaos his ancestor will be running some kind of Battle Tower? I think it would be cool to see Barry's relative in DLC though as they can show off other Pokemon character relatives too haha
To see that those that shaped Hisui come from other regions and that their descendants end up being born in many of them. Traces from places like Kanto leading to Alola, so to say. This isn't a past Sinnoh game; it's a game of people of all regions.
This is an awesome list! Thank you for assembling it! I want to mention there are theories that Beni are also an ancestor to the Shadow Triad due to his ninja outfit and pose resembling the triad's battle stance, and the Sneasler on his team being the closest substitute for Bisharp. Additionally there have been arguments that the colors on him also point to him being an ancestor to the Striaton Gym Leaders due to the presence of green, red, and cyan on his clothing, and finally him being related to Colress due to his ninja outfit looking like Colress's lab coat especially with the black squares on his forearms resembling his Sun/Moon lab coat panels, and the cyan being like his colors, however I admit those last two are a bit of a stretch, but plausible. Also Gaeric could also be related to Brycen in addition to Wulfric. And finally *Spoilers* Kamado could also be related to Wikstrom due to the armor Kamado possesses being the exact same armor as Wikstrom's armor except black instead of silver and looking at Kamado and Wikstrom you /could/ see a resemblance, especially when he has his armor on, but idk.
And now I’m convinced Adaman and Irida are Penny’s ancestors and were a tease for Gen 9 at the time. Between the multi colored hair (which kinda matches up with their color schemes) and Eeveeultion teams, I can’t think of anyone else who would fit the bill
@@FazFaz she is in the same age range, she is (probably) the oldest captain, she brings plants on her back, so the first one I thought of was Ramos. But I guess we'd need an official statement from Game Freak about the connection between characters.

I have theory that Prof. Laventon is from Galar because his clothing style strongly resemble common British clothing in late 1800’s England in Victorian age which is most likely the time period PLA is based around and takes place in. Since Sinnoh is based on Japan like it’s previous gens are, the time period for Japan is the Meiji period which took place from 1868-1912 which would explain everyone’s traditional Japanese styles (such as kimonos) mixed in with western styles and fashion (suits and pants). He is the only one who wears doesn’t wear a Japanese fashion making him stand out a lot. Now let’s get down to his descendants. Looking at all the characters that have been introduce to us in Galar, I see the most resemblance with him to Hop and Leon. I theorize that he is the ancestor of Hop and Leon and would also make sense why they would make Hop be a prof too as it would carry on some sort of small (and unbeknownst to Hop and Leon) contribute to their ancestor Laventon with Hop choosing a new path as a Pokémon prof and would also be a strong common ground he shares with his ancestor which is something a lot of present day Pokémon characters share with their ancestor weather it’s be in personality, interest, looks or even in clothing style. Keep in mind this is just a theory and wanted to share this as an idea. Edit: now that I’ve played the game have filled out Raichu’s dex. It states raichu’s jolts are powerful enough to knock out Copperjah from his homeland which further proves that he might be from Galar

I love how they included ancestors from multiple regions, not just Sinnoh
Charm is also the ancestor of agatha from kanto’s E4, she uses a gengar & rhydon (ghost & ground types) it’s meant to basically link the theory that agatha & Bertha might be related due to their similar hairstyles, complete opposite personalities etc
And by personalities I mean how Bertha is like a kind grandmother while agatha like a grumpy one if that makes sense 😭😭

Ghost and Ground...so what should we call them? The graveyard sister?
Yep she’s even from originally from ancient Kanto

I really appreciate that not just a few, but a lot of the ancestors are the opposite gender of their modern counterpart. The "Almost-Identical Ancestor" trope almost always makes the ancestor the same gender and it feels a lot more interesting and less contrived this way.

Arezu is girl isnt she?

There's a chance that Rye is actually Riley himself because in Platinum, when you talk to Byron in the villa, he says something like "Riley's quite mysterious. I heard that Professor Laventon might be related to Leon/Hop too since he's a "travelling professor" and I could totally see it!
He kinda looks like birch to me tbh
He also makes British references. Galar is based on England. Seems legit
One pokedex entry references Copperajah from "my region". He's from Galar, 100%
In the some other languages (at least at the Japanese version) he literally says English in some cutscenes, including the "Wake up!" right at the beginning (I thought I chose the wrong language XD). Most likely from Galar
@@user-im4ti9fy6s in the Spanish version, he says "good luck" in English too, so yes, he's from Galar, or maybe unova?
Actually, I think Charm is also Agatha’s ancestor. Clover uses Abomasnow (relating to Candice) and Coin uses Toxicroak (relating to Saturn). While Charm does use a Rhydon (relating to Bertha), her ace is technically Gengar (by one level according to the fight before the third noble). Plus, she said she was from the Kanto region, so I think she leans more to Agatha than Bertha, but maybe Agatha and Bertha are distant relatives because of Charm. Just a theory.
Edit: Someone else had the idea before me
It’s just a theory. A GAME THEORY!
Yeah I find the distant relatives one to be more believable cuz GF always likes to throw in a curve ball just cuz they can
Also keep in mind 1k years so probably has some family tree crossing
Yeah, Charm uses Rhydon and Gengar. Bertha doesn't have Gengar but Agatha does while Bertha has Rhyperior.
The Origin Ball is also a direct callback to the item introduced in Gen IV: The Cherish ball.
Glad I'm not the only one to notice that.
Me too
I thought it was more like a Gloria Ball
My theory is that Laventon is related to Hop and Leon:
He uses european terms like jolly and pardon, implying that he's at least from the region that will probably be known as Galar.
I think he's also said a few times that he's from galar, and the galaxy building has galarian weezing on it
@@MudkipNerd Yea the Galarian Weezing gives it away

@@FazFaz she is in the same age range, she is (probably) the oldest captain, she brings plants on her back, so the first one I thought of was Ramos. But I guess we'd need an official statement from Game Freak about the connection between characters.
@@francescoghigo8394 pesselle is the ancestor of mira even though they are entirely different age groups. Age groups literally don't matter. also the plants might be a reference to the rainbow flower mina gives you in usum.
Hoikkaido was first being settled in 1869 so your timeline definitely could fit.
But In game he did indeed confirm that he is from aloha
Because he said it was hard to ride Pokémon in aloha or something like that nature it happens after u get werdeer so I think it profess kukuiri (sorry I’m bad spelling names)
@@voidheroshadow2016 oh okay! I haven’t played the games yet and have only watched the very beginning of legends arceus but stopped on the first episodes of the let’s plays since I don’t wanna be spoiled and want to experience it for myself. Thanks for confirming that!

Fun fact: Ares in the romaji is read as "Arezu/Aresu" and the romans called planet Mars as Ares.
Mars is the Roman name and Ares is the Greek name, but Roman mythology borrows heavily from Greek mythology, so in essence they are almost the same.
@@amf9797 ares is the greek god, not the planet.
The romans did call their greek gods by the name of planets.
I’m glad you included Rue and Riley, I’ve seen a lot of videos that miss this one
Bro how do these ancestors look so much like the current characters when I can’t even look anything like my parents
so does cynthia have this whole family line, like what's the relationship between cogita and volo?and why is cogita such a WAIFU
And arezu and Mai are so much better than mars and marley, specially Arezu she had great character development
imo cogita is just a random lady
I think there no connection between cogito and Volo but their family tree meets up before Cynthia is born
You know we all have multiple ancestors right?
@@EIbows nuh-uh. we are all born with a single ancestor who's footsteps we are destined to fallow.>:.O
@@wedding6515 Cogita has accessories that match Cynthia's, with the Teardrop near her chest.
Also Cogita shares the same hair style as Cynthia, moreso than Volo.
Volo is probably a male ancestor of Cynthia due to his love of Mystery.
Cogita is a female ancestor of Cynthia due to her love of telling of History.
Despite Sabi being Cheryl’s ancestor, I immediately thought of Hapu the island kahuna.
Same
Oh, you're right!
I’m closer to Cogita, Hmm… Maybe I could her outfit that was a family heirloom actually.
My favorite is Ingo, Evan though he isn’t an ancestor, but more of a time traveler. I still like the little touch that game freak added.
You and me both buddy, literally my favorite part of the entire game
Ingo could still be his own ancestor this way...
Omg, dude it feels so good to know everyone, man I've been playing Pokemon for 13 years now, it's crazy
And Ingo is just literally Ingo from Black and White Battlesubway. Since they said he also came from an unknown land/from the sky, he could just be Ingo but older from Black 2/White 2, which is why he recalls the terms Pokemon Trainers, as well as a world where Pokemon and Humans coexists. Sucks they didn't put Emmet in too.
Beni is like a chad version of Wally
Implying Wally wasn't one already
The fuck you on about Wally Is already a chad
I’m surprised that Jupiters ancestor isn’t in the game, either they’ll appear in a future DLC or they from a different region completely
I think her ancestor was the Electrode warden
Melli is like a cross between Jupiter, Avery and Lucian
@@waytothedawn94 yeah, but I'm surprised anyone would wanna make babies with that prick, lmao
@@tmonster1852 melli is Avery, they’re both femboys
The video’s also missing the portrait from the diamond and pearl clan tents, where you can see ancestor of Alder, Maxie and Archie. Melli might be Lucian’s ancestor despite the skuntank. Melli’s hair color is more Lucian than Jupiter
I agree with the hair being more lucian, but the whole skuntank thing does give jupiter vibes like almost everyone uses the same ace as their descendants.
The only theory i dont support is how people are equating melli to be avery's ancestor (ik you never once said that in your comment, but its something i see floating around online), like being a bitch doesnt need to be through a bloodline, some people are just shitty. Like they're 2 shitty people from 2 different families.
I wanna believe Iscan's and Palina's descendants brought forth Marlon. You can also see Alder's ancestor through portraits in the Pearl clan and Diamond clan huts.
i think u can also spot the ancestor to Maxie in the Diamond clan huts and Archie in the Pearl huts next to Alder's
Marlon is just tanned
Call me crazy but I think Sabi could be an ancestor of Hapu. She looks so much like her from the height to the face. They even both got very similar hair style except for the hair color & texture.
could be that cheryl and hapu are related. there's no reason only one of them could be her descendant
I was thinking that too!
I've seen hints of Volo being an ancestor to Lusamine more as the story went on. He could very well be related to both such as Charm being related to both Bertha and Agatha. If not I'd believe Cogita is Cynthia's ancestor
Pretty sure Volo is the direct ancestor of Cynthia. They have so much similarity.
Except opposite for me.
3:57 In his non-ninja form he's also the ancestor of the Kalos grass type gym leader
How is no one talking about Beni being more like Aaron the bug elite 4 member than Wally?
Cyrus, Mars, Saturn, Charon: *have Hisuian ancestors*
Jupiter: *sob* "…And I took that personally."
Sabi Is the ancestor of Hapu I feel, they have a LOT of similarities, their hair, eyes, oversized hats, size, and take care of a big Pokemon like their own. But now that I see the resemblance to Cheryl, I do think she fits more for her.
I also wanna know how team galatic got the idea of what they thought team galaxy was about. Their ancestors would be disappointed at them
Honestly, and this is spoilers for super late game so click at your own risk
I'd love to see Cynthia's reaction to Volo hoping to achieve basically the same thing as Cyrus
@@OswaldAurelia I just got the Crimson mirelands available when commenting this now. I noticed a few people right away and the big lady who masters moves already forgot her name, but I had trouble figuring who her descendant is. Also my theory is our main character and the subway brother will be stuck in the past but maybe regain their memory and set off to establish unova and kalos. Subway brother will go to and start building up unova.
@@XylonVermilion unova was already established and also zisu to flint
The team got corrupted somewhere down the line

2:25 Wait,who is Candice?
Cynthia's ancestry including a travelling pretty boy and a glamorous goth lady makes a lot of sense
Missed the portraits of the founders of the Diamond and Pearl clans being Maxie and Archie's ancestors.
It never crossed my mind that the merchant was related to Cynthia. The most fascinating part for me in this entire game is it puts a whole new spin on team galaxy and stuff. You can kind of understand why they did what they did now and such when they talk of how things were with their ancestors
I actually cannot believe I didn't make the connection of Komander and Rowan
Wait, If the miss fortune sister is the ancestors of Bertha,Candice and Saturn does that mean those three are related?
not really but they have a little blood because alot of generations has passed
Distantly, sure. Still trippy
I would go with no as it’s actually insinuated that they aren’t actually related and that the “sisters” idea is a like a sorority
They aren’t real sisters that’s just the name of the bandit group
Oh, okay thanks for the info✨
3:03 just because she have that bang similar to Cynthia doesn’t mean she is a Cynthia ancestor. I think the game makes it clear that Volo is the direct ancestor to Cynthia.
some of these ancestors are really cool twists on classic designs, like Arezu and Mars, and then others are just the original characters in a new outfit, like Clover
