@@thefrenchiegardenerNew grower here. Is it not better if you have the space to topple the plant. As every branch becomes a root and it grows much stronger.
Tip; you need to dug a hole that's deep enough, when you put your tomatoe into that hole, only half of it will be above ground. This way they will grow more roots, which leads to a more healty plant.
That’s pretty cool thanks God, I’ve seen this personally works for basil too. Which plants do you think this works as well? Would it for avocado and broccoli?
Also heres another tip. Tomato, peppers, and eggplant suckers are a clone of the plant meaning if you remove it and put the stem of it in water, it will grow roots becoming another plant.
Fantastic tomato advice! ❤❤ I do this as well, and yet I still snapped one of my large tomato plants! Nooo! So sad! I replanted the prices though to grow more roots. I will move more slowly going forward. What is your favorite tomato variety? ❤❤
I'm growing cherry tomatoes in a pot at the moment and they're in their flowering stage. All the videos i see is about removing the suckers at the top but i do the opposite and remove the leave stem and let the suckers grow flowers. Am i doing something wrong? Is there anything i need to know? PS. I have the shape and height i need.
how are they doing now? i planted mine and they are around 130cm now, but the stem has bent almost snaping and the leaves are all dried up brown :( only a few leaves are still green. :(
Place a fish head in the bottom part of the pot before adding more soil and then your plant .as the fish head decomposes it gives nourishment to your plant
Could you tell me again the measurements for the tomato feed that you made. How much of the mix goes with how much water? I've listened to the video lots of times and I just can't catch the last bit. Sorry I don't mean to be rude. Your English and accent is perfect. I just can't catch it. Thank you so much for your help.
Hello. I'm growing tomatoes in a pot on my balcony where sun shine is plenty. My tomatoes are growing very slowly and small. There are many flowers blooming on the plant now. What can i do to make sure they're bigger in size?
I had planned to fill my garden with tons of different tomatoes but I refuse to grow what I call princess plants. I was and still am very sad to discover that tomatoes need their "hand" held so much to get a crop. There is nothing like farm fresh tomatoes, one of the most perfect flavors I've ever tasted, but the constant fussing over the plant seems like a colossal waste of the hours of life when so many other plants exist that require practically no maintenance once they're established. I need a lazy gardener channel.
And whatever you do, do *not* try to eat or make tea from those tomato leaves!!! The green parts of the tomato contain tomatine, and will kill you *dead*!
I imagine all of his plants have a French accent as well
Hahaha! they do! 😂
😂
Who are you?? 😂😂😂😂
Straight and to the point. Thank you very much
Thank you!

You can use the sucker to grow more tomato plants 😍 keep it in water for 6-7 days , it'll grow roots
I like to slowly add in soil to get the roots used to living in soil. I've had decent success. I know the transplantation can be faulty sometimes.
@@user-K8T That's actually a really neat idea! I might try this next time I transplant something from hydroponics to soil
@@user-K8TYou can actually plant the sucker straight into the soil. Plant as deep as possible and water.
@@kathymay3980 I've been told but I've had less luck with that than with my method.

Facts too shallow for roots and will be less fruit

You forgot to say make sure to cut the branches that are in the hole
Love your pronunciation of mulch. Sounds so much nicer with a French accent lol
Awesome I love it
Thanks!
I love the way you say mulch. More please. I could not care less about plants but your accent yes !
and the way he says 'mildew' !

Why do you remove flowers
Otherwise the plant's resources go into those flowers instead of more leaves and getting bigger
I have planted some tomatoes this january they going nicely I am excited to see them grow taller as only sprout shoots smaller than a candle
how are they doing now? i planted mine and they are around 130cm now, but the stem has bent almost snaping and the leaves are all dried up brown :(

I Like tout accent it's vert charming. 😊
Thank you 😊

Already did!
Can you make a complete video about pruning the sucker? Or if you already have it can you please give me the link of the video? Thanks so much!

Put your suckered in soil. It makes a whole new plant!
Thanks, money.

Hey have you tried the fertilizer without fermenting it just blending and applying to test if it works with more growth than rotted?
Any idea what nutrients would be in the tomato leaf fertilizer?
We just got a small tomato plant from our neighbor, it started sprouting some yellow flowers, i should remove them asap so it will grow bigger then?
Can you use the lower leaves as mulch as well?
Could you tell me again the measurements for the tomato feed that you made. How much of the mix goes with how much water?

No problem at all! I usually put 100 grams of leaves in 1L of water. When fermented, I put 1L of manure into 3L of water
Sounds like the narrator for SpongeBob 😂
Do you stick to small tomato varieties or can you grow even large tomato plants in the 3 gallon container? Thanks!
What if no rain water to use, can i use normal water like drinking water?
how many times a week do you water the plant and how many liters ?

Green love to you too💚
I didn’t cut a sucker I cut off a branch off the main stem, can I still use this cutting to make a clone?
lol made mildew sound sexy
Hahaha
What do you mean by pot of minimum twelve metres
Ahahah the French accent 🥹 my French ears can’t 😂 but nice tips
Do tomato plants propagate well? Could you use the cuttings to create a new seedling??
Yes they propagate very well. Cuttings are super easy to root in water or just put straight into moist soil
My plant hasn't grown very high yet and has started producing, should I remove the flowers and the produced tomatoes
Yes that's better!
Why should you remove the first flowers?
My tomato plant was taller than me😅 but it did not fruit 😢 it only floer
How often do you water in the pot?
Everytime the pot is dry, put your fingers in the soil to have a good sense of watering needs
@@thefrenchiegardener thanks for your response!

What is it about the French Accent?! Brain just went to grey mush. Something about tomato's? : )
didn't get anything, but like
I didn’t really hear anything lol 😝 after the accent lol
Hum are you french ? (On a un bon accent anglais tkt )
Haha not sure
Why to remove first flowers?
To make the plant grow bigger before producing
@@thefrenchiegardener I was just afriad in case nothing grows🤣🤣. Thnx
It helps force the energy into more height growth, rather than early flowers. So the plant gets stronger first before it flowers and bears fruit.

French accent 😂 bonjour

Orrrrr you can take those clippings on the branches and grow a whole new tomato plant 🤷🏻♀️
