This man has dignity despite having to be homeless and living with the nightly danger of raiders and but by the grace of God there go all of us. He is a man who has led an interresting life and is more interresting than most people homeless or not. Crocodile Dundee of the homeless jungle. Much respect.
He has such a great voice and is a wonderful story teller with a special quality that draws you in. Definitely agree, he has had and continues to endure so much just trying to survive with bad intentioned people ready to steal or even worse. He has protection by the grace of God. America’s Own Aligator Dundee for sure!!
I hope Jose follows up with Mr. Lloyd Montgomery. Sending love❤and positivity to this man for all the best. I would definitely contribute to a GoFundMe for him.
When he got really quiet after saying he “learned a lot being in this solitude and that he never wanted it to be like this”, I could feel his genuine, personal sadness. He did seem to be reflecting and could possibly have wanted to share more. February 18, 2009, the day his wife died when he couldn’t be there, he still keeps that date in his heart. Love how you connected with him about fishing and got him to share the 🐊 bite story. Like you said, he was really effected by being thrown out of the 7-11. They threw him out for being homeless he said. He said he would never steal. I believe that. Great interview Jose. I love when you ask them what makes them happy. I wonder if he still has dreams for a better life and what that life would look like. Looking forward to seeing the trail cams!
@@angelacarlton1550Agreed, sometimes just waiting in what seems like an eternity of silence but is only seconds can allow another to share more. The long pauses may feel awkward when interviewing someone or even in a conversation with someone, but this is where the gold is found. He mentioned being kicked out of the Seven Eleven Gas ⛽ after spending a fair bit of money every single day. That right there crushed his heart and being Kicked out of Town because of being Homeless 😭 The loss of his Wife in 2009 took part of his broken heart 💔 He is Harmless! I really like this man. I love the twinkle you brought to his eye about bass fishing lol He's still enjoying life. Wish we could crowd fun a tiny house for him if there was one.
He is precious, I feel he has a sweet and good heart. God bless him and touch the hearts of those that are tender to give and help him get up on his feet.
I knew a man that lived behind a gas station. He was a Vietnam vet and he had ptsd. People tried to help him and got him an apartment. He only lasted a few months living in a home. He couldn't stand it he ended up leaving and going back to the spot behind the gas station. This is in Florida and I believe he was more at home in the jungle than in society. Sadly he died behind that gas station and he was found by people who tried to take care of him.
62 he should be eligible for social security right now, he might be already collecting of course its not enough alone to get a place easily there but he should have some kind of money from that I would hope.
He's a by product of that mess. They can clean it up and he chooses not to. He does seem like a very genuine guy who had a though break. Nice interview
Trash everywhere. I was homeless once in Florida. Lived in a tent. My spot stayed clean. No clutter. Had only that which i needed. I could pick up and move in less than 30 minutes. My camp was raided 1 time. I left. You keave trash lying around and its a dead give away. My camp was raided by someone i knew. And my tent was hidden well. Very well.
You have to own land, if your on someones elses land its not yours. There should be shared public lands for the homeless except everyone wants to get rich off owning land and thats why its nearly impossible to get a decent place to live
There is the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in 12 western states with 245 million acres of land free to use with water, sewer and electric hookups for campers.
If theses politicians had a heart , they would build small houses in the clean up areas for the homeless with an oversears and help them help themselves, instead of looking down on them
…great to see so many comments on how smart and dignified this man is…would love to see a part 2 Also, not sure if interviewer does this, but if homeless person has iphone, why not get these folks some help
Well I'm gonna say this, the way they trash up a place is why nobody wants them around.just because your homeless don't mean you can't find a trash can.
Personal comment to Jose- I guarantee you, if you set up a gofundme or similar for these homeless people, I would watch every interview. I firmly believe that the vast majority would do the same because then you’re really helping…
And then when I show up to replace the stuff, there's the guy begging on the side of the road, wearing her leather jacket and eating her raviolis, it's crazy
I remember dropping off a whole bunch of goods to somebody in Melbourne, Florida, only they have them. Call me back and there literally tell me how her raviolis were stolen. Her leather jacket was stolen.Even though it was fake 0:18
I had to start over at 54. I’m 67 now and still working as a nurse. I don’t understand it. The only explanation IMO is drugs. We pay taxes for our cities and their upkeep. It’s not fair to everybody else to have to look at that mess.
Let me say that if you ever find yourself in this position don’t tell anyone about your location or your life history just keep it to yourself or whoever’s you trust to tell 😢because if you tell the wrong people it’s over in a heartbeat

Unless the 'campers' are still around the area, then I hand them trashbags after I get video of faces and sometimes license plates

Yes it did. That was one of his comfort stops in his lonely life.
Man let them talk. You interrupt everyone. You think you know what they are about to say but you don't. You do good work but stop interrupting plz...
It's like he can't decide if he wants to interview or have a conversation.
I noticed that as well. Hopefully he reads the comments

Towns waste some money. They could afford a dumpster now n then. A crew too or ask for volunteers
Or collect volunteers to fill the dumpster.
The people who pay the real price, is the homeless 😢
