I wish there's an alternate world where Kiritsugu and Irisviel was not part of the war and they live happily with Illya. And then their daughter somehow becomes a magical girl and have her own anime. Wait a minute...
the question is, will we ever see Kiritsugu in the series? So far he has only been mentioned, but a sides from that he has always been hidden (in photographs, his appearance in the opening of 2wei). Hopefully this isn't a bad omen . . .
Saber's opinion of Kiritsugu over time goes from "He seems like a good guy" to "I hate you with every fiber of my being" to "He wasn't that bad after all"
Austin Leonardo The Archer future took this stupidly*. He ideals don't make he a hero, Shirou now know what he can be in the future. He can change his future.
I always feel sad for Kiritsugu. He was having an average, happy childhood, but then it was ruined. He had Natalia as a mother figure in his life, but then he was forced to kill her along with the Dead Apostles aboard the plane. He then finally had Irisviel and Illya, 2 people he loved the most, but then they're forcibly taken away from him. In the end, he's just a simple man who wants happiness that was denied from him.
Tamaki742, that's like... feeling bad for Hamlet, or for Othello, or Romeo, they're all characters of a TRAGEDY, bad things ARE SUPPOSED to happen to them. Maybe if they were side characters in another story and they still get their life torn , then yeah that's sad, but the plot is written, so that you get catharsis from their suffering, you may feel sad, but sadness shouldn't be the only thing you feel at the end of it all.
There aren't enough "like" buttons for me to press to equal that amount of cute. Where's the "love" button? In fact, can we go back to the star rating system? I give Ilya 10,000 stars for cuteness!!!
Holt1718 I hate it too. That whole plot point freaking kills me. And even after all of that, the closest thing we get to a route for Ilya is Heaven's Feel.
More importantly she's influenced by the remnants of Irisviel's personality which are fused with the corrupted grail - which convinced her that Kiritsugu wasn't coming back & had betrayed her and even had a new family (despite Kiritsugu's multiple attempts to go back and get Illya from Acht). I think if Kiritsugu knew about both the corrupted grail's influence on Illya during her childhood, and then the war... hoooo boy. I almost wish they'd explore that in a meta-story, like where they're together but acknowledge they're dead/have died at one point. FGO doesn't give me enough meta-talk about wars other people have been through together.
Was that in the UBW vn? I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. From what I understood it was the grail itself through Irisviel's personality. But it would make sense for Jubstacheit to give Illya a reason to fight in the grail war with no mercy after all that had happened by making her hate Kiritsugu.
In Fate/Zero, Kiritsugu found out about the corruption, which is why he destroyed the Grail. However, he didn't know about the Greater Grail, so he thought it was completely destroyed and died believing there would be no more grail wars. Kotomine talks about that in the visual novel.
Actually this scene works in another sobering way, as I see it not just as a sad reminder of what could have been but was not, but also as something innocent that underlines Kiritsugu's methods as a fighter, which are ironically cruelly, just in the way Ilya says, "the whole time we've been playing you've been cheating" to which her father replies, "yes, but your daddy can't win otherwise". That speaks volumes to me, because it comes up in this playful scene, but it's almost like another layer of tragic foreshadowing in its way, like the show's saying, "oh you may think it's cute here, but seriously, this guy will go to ANY lengths to win, regardless of what it costs him in morality points".
Tamaki742 For some reason it took me three months to realize the point you were getting at. I think I was out of it when I read that comment for the first time. That and I agree that's part of it. Which makes him all the better in terms of characterization. That's why it really ticks me off when I read comments that stick him with an "asshole" label. He does asshole things, but then we all do now and then. But that isn't who he is. Anyway, sorry for leaving that hanging.
Just in case your heart isn't shattered yet. A lot of people do miss a little note which was at the very end of Fate/Zero. Kiritsugu tried to go back to Iliya a LOT of times but because he had no more magic (thanks to the Grail) he couldn't even enter the mansion and since they were judge his defeat as a failure they wouldn't let him in. He would always try to bring her back until the very day of his death but he couldn't even do that. Iliya who loved Kiritsugu never knew how much her father tried to get her back and how desperate he was. And since she doesn't know that EVER she will become the character we know in the story. You are welcome! ^^
he's not even declared as defeated. he's declared as a traitor, the one who tarnish Einzbern's long dream to attain by destroying the grail. ofc elder Acht not gonna let him enter Einzbern territory for the second time, not mentioning him tried to take their last and ultimate creation Illya
@@s-094cam5 she was brainwashed to do this. She didn't have these emotions inside. Partly by Einzbern magical programming, partly by ghosts that haunted her.
This is adorable but so sad at the same time. When she said "I won't lose!" At 0:29, reminds me of how she said "berserker won't lose to anyone!" Right before her death
So true, I hope she has more screen time in Heaven's Feel. I wanted to see way more of her. I get her reason is to be is to make Gilgamesh look unbeatable. If this is what blonde can do to Illya and Berserker then who can stop him kind of thing
well luckily her role in Heaven's feel isn't as gorey since....actually I'm pretty sure UBW is the only route where she dies where as the in the Fate route she got to live but is still expected to have a short life.
Freddy Gutierrez I think in Heaven's Feel she sacrifices herself in Shirou's place using the Dress of Heaven to like...merge with the grial, or something. I'm just going by what I've read. So I guess that's open for interpretation.
Rin makes a good attempt. Sakura... She's just too creepy right now. She's a single step away from being a living doll, until that day when she'll see a distorted boy try to jump over a high bar.
Talìa Vantas No KIDDING! Seriously, I would have wanted Emiya to knock the door of Jubstacheit, a.k.a Old Man Acht, and make him die using a barrage of swords; at least end an anime where Shirou can say “Hello. My name is Shirou Emiya. You imprisoned and tortured my long lost sister, where she was modified so she can turn into a stupid cup, then later sent her to perish in a warzone. Prepare to die.” T_T type moon made UBW really disappointing, especially since Archer, not once, mentioned anything about Ilya.
+ Ken Reyes Oh, thanks. You may want to include a part where maybe Ilya is buried next to Kiritsugu and, after the war, Taiga sees the extra tombstone. I don't know what Archer was doing, when (spoiler for anyone who didn't see UBW) he was seemly killed by Gilgamesh but Archer must've been doing some errands for him to have appeared much later.
fun fact in Prisma Illya, Illya calls Kiritsugu oto-san お父さん, which means dad but with honorifics. This is how children normally refer to their fathers in Japan. When she calls Irisviel "mama".
Every time I watch this scene, my heart has this reaction where it's so full of happy cuteness but at the same time hurts like hell just because I know that this is the last happy moment that these two characters have together, and ARGH the feels! T..T I really hope that in the F/SN remake, they take all these feels and explode them into a great big confetti burst of feels where Illya learns the truth and learns how the Einzberns lied to her and that really Kiritsugu did everything he could to get back to her. *Oh God, here come the water works again, I'm crying just thinking about it*
deadeye415 Yeah, no kidding. That's why I'm so glad they're doing the HF route as a film at least. Still feels o' plenty there, but I like the idea of the alternative storyline.
+Thinh Vo Regardless, this fan service spinoff to distract me from the mainstream Fate animes will never work, I really don't like Kaleid Prisma Illya at all :(
+Thinh Vo Prisma Illya is the perfect remedy for those who don't want their dear loli to suffer, and at first I thought it was FINE until those lesbian kissing and incest stuff (Illya x Shirou yeerk) killed off my enthusiasm to watch it again. But then, the best comedic relief of Nasuverse is Carnival Phantasm XD
Such a bittersweet scene because they are playing an innocent game which is so cute but then it hits you that this is the last time they will be together...
I hate this scene so much, because at first it was a cute scene with a father and his daughter playing together but it just got so much sadder on the rewatch :' (
Her life span only lets her live another year or two at the most since she's a homunculus. Woooooooooooo no happy ending for Ilya. Someone please kill me so I can join waifu in death.
Every time I see Kiritsugu and Illya, separate or together, I hate that ole man from the Einzberns more and more for keeping them apart and making Illya think he abandoned her and her mother when he tried so hard to take her back. In fact it was his servant's fault the grail was corrupted in the first place!
Kiritsugu never really abandoned Illya. After the Grail War, he tried multiple times to go back and take Illya back from the Einzbern family, but that old man refused to allow him in so he never deactivated the barrier because Kiritsugu "betrayed" them by destroying the grail even though the grail was corrupted in the last war because of that same old man. That old man drilled it into Illya's mind that Kiritsugu was a traitor to the Einzberns and that he abandoned Illya so that made her hate him. The Grail was corrupted because that old man had an 8th spirit which was the emodiment of all evil and when it died and was sent back into the grail, the grail was corrupted by all the evil in the world. The same evil of the Grail Kiritsugu faced and destroyed the physical form. Because of the Grail's corruption, evil heroes were now able to be summoned meaning that originally, heroes like Caster from Fate Zero weren't supposed to be summoned and only "good" heroes like Saber, Rider, and such were to be allowed.
00:14 to 00:19 those little bit frames of animation are SOOOOOOOOO gd adorable. And then there's that little bit in UBW...ufotable has clearly found the formula for cuteness that transcends squeeing.
at first i just couldn't. I went to episode 5 of carnival phantasm instead. And then that daydream clip where Ilya put shirou to sleep so she could cuddle with him on the sunning futon.
They should make a new Fate/Zero route called -Fate/Zero PRISMA ILLYA Where Kiritsugu took a sudden turn of realization that he need to protect his family before his ideal, and goes to killing rampage along with Saber to Einzbern, setting as the prequel for Fate/kaleid linier PRISMA ILLYA.
I get the feeling that if he fought for that, Saber may just abandon her wish to claim the grail. Protecting those around you was basically her reason for forming the Round Table.
It wouldn't be a prequel for PRISMA ILLYA because prisma's version of Illya is 8 years younger because in the original timeline, she's born 8 years before the 4th grail war. PRISMA ILLYA's version has Kiritsugu kill off the Einzberns and dismantle the grails before Illya was born IIRC, so Saber wouldn't be there either. It would end up with a completely different timeline altogether in this case where she was already born. Prisma's prequel would literally just be Kiritsugu and Irisviel. Unfortunately, this probably also means that Prisma Illya is technically an entirely different character than OG Illya if we consider how the birth of a baby works despite sharing the same name and looks-that is if we consider a sperm to be the potential baby for when it fertilizes the egg-a sperm cannot survive all those 8 years after all. Heck, even before OG Illya gone through those 10 years of modifications and isolation, there's a notable difference between how they refer to Kiritsugu. Prisma Illya actually refers to Kiritsugu as dad but OG Illya actually calls Kiritsugu by his name. They're definitely different people altogether. If we consider parallel timelines for another family where in one they had a child in one year and but had a child in a different year in the other timeline, even if both of those kids share the same name, they would be completely different people rather than alternate versions of each other. Heck, both Illya's probably only look the same because of how Irisviel is conceived to be basically a Justeaze clone and a humonculus, and the eggs inside her basically only takes that genetic code-thus all biological children that she bears will likely get that look.
If only Kiritsugu could go back in time....... Though, he would probably be as successful as Homura as he unwittingly "severs" the threads of fate and "bind" them around........he would also lose the very ideals that characterize him. Then again we have "Fate/Kaleid Liner Illya" where Kiritsugu does decide to ditch the war for his family.
And take out the rest of The Einzbern Family (Including that old man) offscreen. Serves that guy right, he doesn't even get the grace of an onscreen death.
I see what you did there. Though it should be noted, that while Nasu was a good friend of the writer for F/Z, it was ... the UROBUTCHER himself who wrote Fate/Zero.
I still wonder what exactly happened in that universe to cause both Kiritsugu and Irisviel to ditch the Holy Grail War before it even started at all. Did they somehow learn that the Grail was corrupted or something? I wish the author could go a bit deeper on that side of the story. I love the current Miyuverse arc and I definitelly want to see how it ends, but I also kinda want to know how else did things go differently in Kaleid Illya's timeline.
@@MrDibara I just wanna see Kiritsugu go full tilt bloodsoaked slaughterhouse on the Einzberns castle to save Illya and Iri. We see him passionate in trying to prevent tragedies (killing his father and Natalia) but it's still the stoic form, not the kind of fire that it is when you're trying to protect someone you love.
@@s-094cam5 That would actually be one hell of an amazing version of Kiritsugu. I wonder if the one from Fate/Kaleid (the one from Illya's world, not Miyu's) was basically that.
After watching most of the Fate series and coming back to this, all I can think about is how much I'd want to see Shirou brutally slaughter that piece of shit of the Einzberns, Jubstacheit von Einzbern. Jubstacheit played a major part in pretty much fucking up Irisviel, Kiritsugu and Illya's lives. With Shirou at this point technically being the only one from Kiritsugu's good memories left alive, It'd probably make for an epic showdown.
+Shimon Brand I'm very doubtful of that. He has already learned all of Archer's weaponry in Heaven's Feel. And can even match up to Berserker in speed with nine lives blade works and if it comes to worst, he can materialize an one rank weaker Excalibur and drop all of them. Besides he can produce Avalon at its original rank which heals him.
+Shimon Brand well he can't project it but still has it's Effects. And with Rin's help he can shoot as much swords as he did in unlimited blade works. And that's why I said if it comes to worst. He would die but I'm sure he'll gladly do it. Finally, maybe they're stronger, sure but are they as fast as berserker?
+Shimon Brand Avalon would still work. it's just not as significant. and yeah we're talking hypothetical here so morals are off the table it's more about what Shirou can do. and yeah he can only manage that speed in a few seconds but berserker moves faster than the speed of sound and the speed of sound at sea level is 314 meters/second already so he should be able to just reach the guy's place and kill him rather than trying to kill his army. Few more seconds and he'll be far from the army.
It always intrigued me how Illya calls Kiritsugu "Kiritsugu", and Irisviel "Mother". On the other hand, Kiritsugu rather uncharacteristically uses the pronoun "Otousan" (Dad) when talking to Illya. It is like Kiritsugu desperately wanted to have this father-daughter bond with her, but this feeling is one-sided and Illya only considers Iri her mother. I know Illya loved Kirutsugu as well and calling it "one-sided affection" is a bit over the top, but Illya never calls him "Dad" is a bit sad to me. It is like Kiritsugu ever really wanted ONE thing in his life, but it is denied to him.
poor kiritsugu,he lost too much in his life, the only thing he got in return after trying so hard was a son(shirou) who was inherited the hero of justice ideal
Yeah normally you'd read the FSN visual novel before watching Zero. I remember this scene punched me right in the "feels" when I first watched it; so cute, yet so depressing at the same time.
Well in all fairness while Ilya is powerful thanks to her connection to the grail it wasn't her power alone that summoned Hercules. The Einzberns broke pretty much every rule in the book to get him and even then the conditions were that Ilya had to suffer tremendously just to have him move. Of course fate was cruel and summoned him as a Berserker class so that he wasn't sane enough to use his most powerful NP Nine Lives. That happened most likely due to Ilya's twisted personality.
Actually, he was summoned as Berserker intentionally by the Einzberns to make sure he cannot betray them-since they couldn't trust people outside of the family after Kiritsugu betrayed them.
Illya was never evil, just like Sakura her actions are result of brainwashing. We cannot blame neither of them. Also lets not forget that Rin, Saber also tried to kill shirou. Saber also due to brainwashing.
I'm just sitting here wondering when The Kaleid version of Kiritsugu will make a full on dramatic appearance aside from those scenes where we just see the back of him....you know it's gonna happen at some point.
I keep seeing comments about how happy people are going back and watching this so Illya can experience some happiness, but all it does is make me cry knowing what is in store for her in just a few weeks (and the entire decade following)
Illya and Kiritsugu, 2 characters that went through something so horrible the only hope that could bringe them joy was the life of a unknown boi who scearched to become a true hero after his life flashed before his eyes Magic can do great things, can change one's life to sometihng grand, but more often than not, change the people for the worst, make a innocent child hold no remorse for others or even lure them into a mircale that would burst their suffering so high they does'nt hold the will to even live nor die but through this unknown boi, he found a way outside such a diseaster that could'nt be undone, using magic to stop a greater magic and undo more diseasters caused by magic used by the unpure Man
Agree. Some people commented that they went here after that damned UBW scene when Illya was killed. Which is irony, I visited this scene too after that UBW certain part and I weeped even harder! Then I went to Kaleid Liner and found my happiness there :D
Probably the most cruel thing about Fate Zero being a prequel is that we know all these children will fight in a war of their own, yet watching this anime first gives you the impression that they won't have to.
(Spoilers) Such a cute scene....*remembers what happens to Illya in UBW AKA the sequel to the unfotable adaptation b/c it is the same studio as Fate/Zero*... WHY COULDN'T MAKE/CHOOSE A ROUTE WHERE THIS PRECIOUS CINNAMON ROLE DOESN'T DIE?!?! *sobs*

[Mild Spoilers Below] I'm pretty sure Ilya being a homunculus has little to do with it. She wasn't _designed_ she was born, which is what makes her so special. Her aging halted because of all the procedures the Einzbern put her through after the war.
TheSarcasticCanadian Nah, she didn't. She figured that Illya should have looked older since 10 years already passed. Plus, she didn't really know her name.
Tamaki742 Yes she did, and wow it's crazy how you know all this even though it has never been mentioned. You're stretching your view past reasonable lengths, obviously she knew her name. Not to mention both Illya and Irisiviel share the last name Einzbern...which was mentioned, so I'm sure she managed to connect those two simple dots.
TheSarcasticCanadian ...Cite an example where she refers to Ilya as, or as not, Kiritsugu's daughter. It's never mentioned as you just said. Therefor it's up to reader opinion whether or not she recognizes Ilya. Personally speaking, as homunculi are generally clones of one another, I think it's quite reasonable she doesn't. On the other hand, Ilya looks exactly the same (more or less) so it's quite reasonable she does - or is at least struck by the resemblance.
You know, I'm gonna have to watch that episode again (ofc i would have anyway bc ha ha it's all so freaking awesome) but I keep missing this look everyone's talking about saber having when she sees Ilya. unless i'm not paying attention to the right part.
Came here after watching Heaven's Feel 3. Illya will never reunite with Kiritsugu but she can with Irisviel since they are both Holy Grails and Irisviel had waited in the Root lying beyond Angra Mainyu's realm fulfilling her wish to see her daughter once again!
Can someone explain one thing to me. Ever since I finished watching _Fate/Zero_ followed UBW, one thing has been bugging me this entire time. How is that Saber never recognized Illya when she first saw her with Berserker ten years after _Fate/Zero_? Throughout F/Z Saber has a close friendship with Irisviel, so she had to have known about Illya and what her fate might be if Kiritsugu didn't win the grail for the Einzberns, even if Saber and Illya never spoke to each other during the brief time she was in Germany. We know Saber's memories weren't erased since Kiritsugu placed the scabbard of Excalibur inside Shirou that allowed her to be summoned again. She recognized Kiritsugu's name instantly but understandably didn't tell Shirou or the events of the previous war until later. And yet, when Illya introduced herself before having Berserker attack, Saber hadn't so much as blinked. Shouldn't she have recognized her instantly? Especially seeing how(aside from being a little bigger) Illya looked no different than she had been before? And on top of that, why hadn't she told Shirou who Illya was if she had recognize her and what her connection to Kiritsugu was? It would have explained everything including Illya's obsession with Shirou right there! Hell, even Illya never told Shirou who her father was. Why? What reason would she have to hide it? The same goes for Saber as well! So, yeah. Is there any reason for this or did the writers just completely neglect the whole thing?
Saber didn't know Illya's body couldn't age (funny considering her's can't either). She assumed it was another Einzbern homunculi since Illya would be 18 at this point.
***** That doesn't make any sense for exactly the reasons I stated above. Saber was around Irisviel much longer than she was with Kiritsugu. So like I said, she had to have known who Illya was since she knew that Iris was also an homunculi. And she should have recognized Illya's name the instant Illya introduced herself years later. And as we saw in the next scene where Saber is watching, Illya looked no different than she had been before besides the obvious.
I love that fact that these two character’s VAs, Mai Kadowaki (Illya) and Rikiya Koyama (Kiritsugu) talked in the Fate/Zero radio talks of how they really cherished their acting together almost as if they were real father and daughter. Mr Koyama will almost spoil Mrs Kadowaki like a bad father.
Miss now. From what I heard a few months back she was separating from her husband. Either way though, that is an adorable IRL picture I want to have of the character/actor dynamic!!
@@kunstwunderkammer6163 no details were given, just that she was raising her own daughter solo for now (though given Japanese culture she may well have moved in with family).
Might be my ignorance, but I always find it strange how Ilya calls her father by his first name. She calls Irisviel 'Mommy', as you'd expect, but why is Kiritsugu different? I thought perhaps it might be because he's away for much of the time, but she clearly loves him and he's her dad. Perhaps it's what her mother always calls him around her, but that's odd too. What mother refers to her husband by his first name to her child? Surely it would be 'Daddy this', 'Daddy that'?
Poor Ilya really deserves to have Shirou go all Heaven's Feel or Miyuverse for her sake at least once. Why is there still not a single Fate route/anime/game/whatever in which Shirou chooses to be her hero above all else? The closest we got to that was him admitting that he liked her swimsuit the most in Hollow Atraxia.
Yeah...like I said, Heaven's Feel or Miyuverse. Both of those paths involve Shirou giving up on his ideal of saving everyone and focusing on saving the person who is most precious to him instead (Sakura or Miyu respectively). I kind of want to see a route where he does the same for Ilya. At the end of Heaven's Feel he stated that that was a possibility as well. That if he had known that Ilya was in fact his little sister things might've gone diffrently (implying that he might've opted to save her instead of Sakura).
I wish there's an alternate world where Kiritsugu and Irisviel was not part of the war and they live happily with Illya. And then their daughter somehow becomes a magical girl and have her own anime. Wait a minute...

So he can go back to his daughter.

***** Actually I totally did. Lol. :D
kiritsugu suffered but illya was the last person he ever lost,he got a brilliant son which grew up to be an excellent and kind young man
And his daughter sought to kill his son in revenge for "abandoning" her. She hated him right to the end.

So true, I hope she has more screen time in Heaven's Feel. I wanted to see way more of her. I get her reason is to be is to make Gilgamesh look unbeatable. If this is what blonde can do to Illya and Berserker then who can stop him kind of thing
borgtennis Yeah, but I agree. More Ilya plz!!!
well luckily her role in Heaven's feel isn't as gorey since....actually I'm pretty sure UBW is the only route where she dies where as the in the Fate route she got to live but is still expected to have a short life.
Freddy Gutierrez I think in Heaven's Feel she sacrifices herself in Shirou's place using the Dress of Heaven to like...merge with the grial, or something. I'm just going by what I've read. So I guess that's open for interpretation.
I can't stop freaking watching this. It's the cutest scene EVER.

+Whammy Cheng Just wait for HF m8
+Whammy Cheng I'll add that scene as an omake for a fanfic I'm writing now that you've given me the idea
Whammy Cheng I can't believe I've never thought of that... Definitely adding it now.

fun fact in Prisma Illya,
Illya calls Kiritsugu oto-san お父さん, which means dad but with honorifics.
*Oh God, here come the water works again, I'm crying just thinking about it*
aaaaaannnd the F/SN remake is UBW. You'll get feels alright. Just not the ones you're looking for

Every time I see Kiritsugu and Illya, separate or together, I hate that ole man from the Einzberns more and more for keeping them apart and making Illya think he abandoned her and her mother when he tried so hard to take her back. In fact it was his servant's fault the grail was corrupted in the first place!
sorry, I only watched Fate Zero and Fate Stay Night animes.. why did he abandon her and why the grail was corrupted?

They should make a new Fate/Zero route called -Fate/Zero PRISMA ILLYA
Where Kiritsugu took a sudden turn of realization that he need to protect his family before his ideal, and goes to killing rampage along with Saber to Einzbern, setting as the prequel for Fate/kaleid linier PRISMA ILLYA.
+Fahru Riansyah Id watch it.
Must resist urge to take adorable little girl home with me and spoil and pamper her like a princess!
Well, she IS a princess XD

0:15 that run is so fucking cute
So many feels. I can't hold them all.
this is the most heartwarming scene from the whole fate series i swear
+anthonydeadman "Crimes against humanity" shit, yes he totally deserved to die!!
+Shimon Brand also he can blast tons of swords. He can match the numbers
+Shimon Brand Avalon would still work. it's just not as significant. and yeah we're talking hypothetical here so morals are off the table
it's more about what Shirou can do. and yeah he can only manage that speed in a few seconds but berserker moves faster than the speed of sound and the speed of sound at sea level is 314 meters/second already so he should be able to just reach the guy's place and kill him rather than trying to kill his army. Few more seconds and he'll be far from the army.
1:04 Kiritsugu: Well yes, yes and yes.
EMIYA Shirou And then in one universe became Archer and in some other EMIYA Alter.

Yeah normally you'd read the FSN visual novel before watching Zero. I remember this scene punched me right in the "feels" when I first watched it; so cute, yet so depressing at the same time.
This is one of my favorite moments of Kiritsugu when he's not fighting
STOP KILLING MY WAIFU

I'm pretty sure Ilya being a homunculus has little to do with it. She wasn't _designed_ she was born, which is what makes her so special. Her aging halted because of all the procedures the Einzbern put her through after the war.
And that's also why Saber didn't recognise her in Fate/Stay Night.
Tamaki742 But Saber did recognize her...
And they never got to see each other again....... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Kiritsugu you're my hero
Came here after watching Heaven's Feel 3. Illya will never reunite with Kiritsugu but she can with Irisviel since they are both Holy Grails and Irisviel had waited in the Root lying beyond Angra Mainyu's realm fulfilling her wish to see her daughter once again!
Every time I watch this make me cry because they're dead... 😢
The only show where the loli takes Ls.
No she did recognize him, don't you remember episode 3?
Benjamin Shaw Who's he? And what series are you talking about? I'm talking about Saber not recognizing _Illya_ at the start of the 5th Holy Grail war.
+infinitlycool Saber did recognize Illyasviel, during episode 3 from Fate/Stay Night UBW. She flinched when Illya revealed herself.

It's so hard to watch this knowing what happens to her in Unlimited Blade Works!😭
She was also very cute when he put a gun to her head... What she was. Like a baby that didn’t know what was going on.
i am crying
I come here daily to live a happy life
The fucking recommended are spoiling everything for me.

Aw man! I hope she is happier now or she finds a better partner soon!
@@kunstwunderkammer6163 no details were given, just that she was raising her own daughter solo for now (though given Japanese culture she may well have moved in with family).
This... makes me so sad..... Q口Q
I need to watch more kaleid linear prisma illya to heal my heart....
A moment of joy in the stay night timeline
Might be my ignorance, but I always find it strange how Ilya calls her father by his first name. She calls Irisviel 'Mommy', as you'd expect, but why is Kiritsugu different? I thought perhaps it might be because he's away for much of the time, but she clearly loves him and he's her dad. Perhaps it's what her mother always calls him around her, but that's odd too. What mother refers to her husband by his first name to her child? Surely it would be 'Daddy this', 'Daddy that'?
+Emily Jung It is indeed cute.
Nyeh, she'll die in a year after the Grail war anyway.
