There are different kinds of karaoke system from amazon. The good thing for V9, it has preset sound effects and voice changer that a karaoke system might nor have. The good thing also for some karaoke system is that you can change the pitch from the preinstalled songs.
I would buy both of I can. If internet is not an issue then V9 coz you can select lots of karaoke song from the internet besides you can record and go live with it as it comes with cables plus the built in sound effects for live streaming. If you buy the karaoke with Built in songs you don’t need an internet, you use it for karaoke wherever. Now it would depend what kind of karaoke system and what kind of ports it has so you can possibly go live or record.
I created the setup exactly the way you did using an iPhone. However, there is no background music or any sound effect in the recorded video through iPhone. I can hear the background music though. Not sure what am I doing wrong. Can you help plz?
Most likely the issue is the lightning adapter. It sounds like, sound Card does not connect to your iPhone at all. Yes. I have a V10 but no time yet to do a review on it. As long as the device is attached for recording or live streaming to V10 and you have long cords for mic or if it’s attached to amplifier, you don’t have to be close to the V10 coz you can control the sound effects with the remote that it comes with.

What's the difference between V8, V9 and now V10 sound cards .
I can see Bluetooth on V9 vs no BT on V8, but don't know others
Most of the V8 now have BT even if it’s not showing or no BT word on V8 sound card. V10 has BT and you will see BT word on the device.
