Whitney Houston had the bigger hit with it but it was years later. In 1983 (the year they listed), Whitney wasn't charting yet. I did know Dolly Parton sang the song first. That wasn't a song I was interested in, so I don't remember what year she sang it. I would guess between 1973 and 1983.

@philb6490 No worries, and you really didn't offend me, it's just that I am a little bit upset that I have been putting my name at the end of all the comments I've been making here on everything I do, but nobody seems to ever see that I put my name at the end of the comments so they'll know that it's me, and not my wife saying the things I said!!! But, in fairness I have to admit that it probably is a bit confusing for them when her email is the first thing seen!!! But in short, the reason for that is that first we both have been sharing this same phone now for a while until I got two things, another phone, which I have, but also my email got compromised on Facebook awhile back, and I had to get a new one, and recently finally did, but I just haven't finished the process of getting everything changed yet!!! But yeah, I got hacked on Facebook, and it really fucked me up for a while!!! So, sorry if I sounded nasty to you Phil!!! But one more thing, I still can't understand why everyone can't figure out that the person actually doing the activities here that I've been doing is me when the name at the end of the comments is a man's name!!! If you went to any clubs in that time period, you would know it. End of the Road was the slow dance song, they finished the night with most of the time. I think of Boy Bands as 98 degrees, NSYNC and Backstreet Boys more than Boys II Men. I'm not a huge fan of them either but because of pop culture, still know them.
