This is the first time I've seen your channel, but I'm definitely sticking around. This appears to be the type of information I've been looking for. I learned some guitar as a teen, even took up playing bass in my teachers band for a few years, but the old story about girlfriends becoming exes and "hey how's it going" and "I'm not sure, does it look like an extra blue line to you?".... Two decades later I'm trying to get back on the wagon and man has stuff changed a LOT! Part of why this is so interesting to me is seeing how that's all gone on and trying to unlearn stuff I was taught before most of the county i lived in had the internet. Lots is changed, but much is still as it was it seems. Thanks in advance!
Stay on your musical journey my friend. These videos will also discuss guitar and bass rigs with all the trimmings. A lot has changed yet there are still things that stay the same, like physics, when it comes to music creation. We will be unpacking some good stuff. Thank you for watching!
It's good to know there are others who have asked these questions. Hopefully we can put helpful words to thinking and processes that slows down in our musicmaking. Thank you for watching!
Hi Pete, Thanks for taking the time to pass on your knowledge. Some purely constructive critique here. I'm interested to hear the information that you have to offer, but your camera mic audio is a little distracting. Maybe you could try a lapel mic, a low noise condenser or dynamic mic, and maybe IR noise filtering (Reafir is a freebie). Tackle that ~300Hz brown noise hysteresis.. Thanks again for stepping up.. Guys like me need all the help we can get. Cheers Geoff.
Thank you Geoff for your input. I quickly put up a GoPro to save a little time. The noise floor on these are terrible. Another example of convenience eating into quality. We have lapels, I'll be switching over brother. Thanks for watching.
That's true. A lot of creative results come from happy accidents. Sometimes guardrails help to get to our processes faster. That's what we are hoping for here. Thanks for watching.
Looking forward to hear what you think. I’ve already gone thru my own processes so yea it’s cool you wanna tell people what you think actually matters.
It is definitely a process of figuring these things out. There are a lot of opinions. A lot of subjectivity. We will have some fun digging into the details. Thank you for watching.
The king of saying a lot without saying anything. The only way to test all your theories is with a double blind AB listening test. And you would fail every one of them
Thanks for the input. The goal is definitely not to waste anyone's time with ramblings. I try to be as diplomatic with my words as possible not to push anyone away with binary statements or thinking. At the same time get to the point, right? Lol. Hopefully there's a video topic that resonates with you. Thanks for watching.
