@@Fireyninjadog I think it was 1974 in the 4th round. He thought he wouldn't get any playing time behind Griese and Strock, so he opted for Toronto in the CFL. He'd have been a punt returner for the Dolphins for a time. Doubtful he would've ever reached his potential under Shula. Shula had less patience with QBs than Joe Gibbs. Theissman was inconsistent for years 1977-1981 before he ever emerged as a star. Neither Strock nor Woodley had that long to develop. Shula wanted consistency from players. It's why he started so many veterans. Under Shula the Dolphins never beat themselves like the Patriots did late in this game.
What's weird is that NE actually had some really good players on this team. Yet they were horrible. This was a good example of bad coaches and bad QBs ruining a franchise.
Mike Patrick calling primetime NFL games.... man, takes me back to the best memories of my childhood. Love it
I know this game was blacked out in Miami. Did West Palm Beach have it? I heard for Cable games the Blackout Radius was only 35 Miles.
Dan the man has done it again go dolphins 🐬go.
Thank you, now I can throw away my VHS tape. I really appreciate you uploading these games. Are you looking for anything?
I have converted most of my VHS tapes to DVD. I'm always interested in more games. If you could let me know what have would appreciate it.
Dont throw your tape away, you don't own youtube or this youtube account and don't know what will ever happen to this video's availability
26:56 Hugh Millen... Goddamn it, he was triple covered
Was this the only time we saw the Patriots animation in this package?
Those Pats uniforms were sweet, the home uniforms were better though
This would be so much better if Theisman wasn’t on play by play. He hated the Dolphins
Miami originally drafted him in 1971

Hugh Millen and Tom Hodson what a bunch of bum QBs the Patriots had back then
Irving would eventually get traded to Miami a year later
Still breaks my heart :(
5:30 Byran Cox?
Later a patriot

I dunno why they went with Hugh Millen instead of Tommy Hodson. Hodson wasn't great but at least he doesn't throw 15 picks a game lol
@poletooke4691 look at his 3 starts in 91, and you'll see why. They had no good qbs, no matter how you slice it
pooor Dan, not a single ring.
