Not only does Dino kill it on vocals , he's also playing bass & keys. Add to it they did all of this remotely due to the pandemic , that just shows how talented they really are.
Nothing will ever take the place of great musicians playing classic rock. Who would think a Croatian singer could rip such a quality track. Good to see you back in the seat, Eric....
Thanks again Eric! So jazzed you're spinning Dino again. His talent is unmatched but it is also well respected... the talent he draws to his collabs is pretty stellar too. The covers he helped orchestrate during the lean times of the pandemic are....EPIC FOREPLAY/LONGTIME Someone below reminded me...STORMBRINGER
Absolutely a SICK cover! Dino's amazing! And Portnoy was having a blast with that cowbell! 😆 The original came out when I was in high school (Think the album was Freedom At Point Zero) and I'm gonna say it - THIS version is better than the original.
Every cover version I have heard of Dino's has been better than the original. His range and adadaptability to all genres is second to none. His own compositions are even better than the covers.Try Goddam Marathon and then Prosao Sam Sve for contrasting styles....stunning!!! ❤
His voice is so killer. He gives me Myles Kennedy vibes. Only , dare I say...better? I know that it's all subjective but dude just absolutely nails everything
Now THAT is how you do a cover! You should check out Dino's original band (Animal Drive) doing a cover of "The Look" from Roxette. They keep the super-catchiness of the pop original and make it into a solid rocker.
That was a good cover song. Aldo Nova - Fantasy uses the same chords, and I always interchange the lyrics of the two songs while singing along with them 😊
They sound like they're enjoying the song more than Jefferson Starship ever did. It reminds me of a third type of cover: something the band enjoys and likes to play for the folks who come out to hear them. (Lost the CD along with a car window years ago, but there used to be a SoFla ska/punk band that played a killer "Sweet Home Alabama")
For a great homage cover, try Transatlantic's In Held Twas in I. A reworking of of the Procol Harum early prog masterpiece. Neal Morse absolutely nails the classic Procol Harum Mellotron sound (and Portnoy goes beyond the Moon).
Impressive drum kit, and I think he used almost every piece in this. Is the guy surrounded by statues of himself really that vain or just messing around? I almost missed this video, it ended up below my shorts section.

I concur - and add "Immigrant's Song" to the list of killer collabs!
@@weshoward450I would add one colab (not cover) with Andreolli in "Thorn in our side*. There he really shows his voice range beautifully...
Finally qualitative reaction on youtube
TOP !!!!!!!!!
One of the best "unofficial" covers that I have ever heard. Thanks for reacting to it. I am following and going to check out more of your vids.
Spot on analysis. I love it.

I agree. It's so badass
I wonder how you didn't check his cover of "Stormbringer" yet... That one is even better.
I've seen lots of rock vocalists over the years and jelusick is the standout vocalist in rock today brilliant
Noice Eric! I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for an awesome review 🤘🤘

Better than the original. No doubt.
Stormbringer!!!!!!

Zoe Angel did that track. Not sure where to find it other than an old skate video.
Cheers,
Eric
Check out their cover of Led Zep Immigrant Song.

Great white. House of broken love plz
That was just as good as the original. And Portnoy is Portnoy.
