The amount of Watt has nothing to do with the vacuums suction power. Rowenta has an EffiTech-Engine which needs less energy power to reach the same level of suction power as other vacuums.
But actually 1800W vs 750W ("2200W-equivalent") Some even later model Rowentas actually got that down to 400W, all while supposedly _improving_ actual performance.
