      Let's take a house that's ready to be moved into, and completely change it. Just because we can.
      That's not a fixer upper. That's just changing it.

    Calling that a fixer upper is a joke that looks move in ready “2005 is dated” 😂

    • @offroad-adventure
      @offroad-adventure 3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Super bland styling that was dated the day it was built. Definitely needs updating.
      Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

    • @dadlife8289
      @dadlife8289 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I also have a 2005 built house. And it is dated as heck. Beige walls everywhere, Oak cabinets, faux finished red bathroom.

    • @ksquared490
      @ksquared490 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@offroad-adventure Dated styling is hardly a fixer upper. It has pretty nice finishings, (even if bland), and it doesn't appear that there is any major electrical/plumbing/structural work needed to get it up to code. I'm not saying there isn't going to be a lot for them to update and make their own, but it's already nice place that they could just move in without issue.

    Large sliding doors in the livingroom is SOOOO worth it. They are expensive. My builder charged me a little more than $7,000. My doors are about the same size as that whole wall. It lets in Tons of natural light and opens the space from indoors to outdoors. great for family parties.

    Make sure you check to see if the builder used post tension cables when building the foundation. If they did, you’ll need to have the floor xrayed wherever you want to cut. If you cut one of those cables, it can be very dangerous.

    From Corner to Corner - Reno lol this is a great space with lots of potential! I love how tall all the ceilings are, master bedroom with the grand cathedral vaulted ceiling, weird trio of windows overlooking the jetted master bath. Love the double shower. Instead of having the door off from the family room, maybe have some access from the entertainment room instead. That kitchen is to die for but I can understand your wife's hesitancy to have the oven opening right in front of the pantry 😖 accident waiting to happen! Also a nice L shaped grill section off the family room and a hot tub off the master bath side .

    Beautiful home. I live in the UK, ours walls are bricks so it is difficult to renovate, so feel you pain when you said it was concrete fall. So jealous of the walking closet and laundry room. Agree, laundry is more fun to do whe you have the space to do so. Look forward to your series. I said to my husband, when we buy our own place, it has to come with a garden and garage so I can have my own. Workshop. What would be cool is of you do a live edge epoxy table, it would look beautiful especially with all the light coming through and the open feeling. Best of luck 👍
