My husband had Teal 7 with 4+3 In one sample but 5 others on same side of prostate was 3+4. PSA never went higher than 10 and his after treatment number for PSA is optimal but his testosterone is less than 16. It’s been almost a year now since my husbands hormone injection. He completed his radiotherapy October. The hormone effects seem to be wearing off as he gets hot flashes more often now. I’m praying he gets his potency back.

I had low teal but PSA was rising yearly and was 8 when I decided to treat with HDR Brachytherapy alone, no external radiation. My decision was because of being healthy and easy accessible treatment do to COVID.
I chose Brachytherapy Monotherapy for reduced toxicity and the length of time needed for therapy’s (2) and recovery time. I was low teal because of low volume of 4.
@@cooperjdcox49 hey Cooper !! How long did you do AS before treatment? How high did your PSA get before you decided to do treatment? Where did you go for treatment? I am thinking about doing the seeds implants.

PSA 2 in March next check in Sept treated Nov 2020.
AS 3 years then COID gave me a chance to be treated and my PSA had gone up a point each year to an 8. I did HDR Brachytherapy with no side affects, with lest than 30 days of recovery.. It was two treatments a week apart. I used a local oncologists in Gig Harbor, WA. Dr Dean Mastras Well trained and highly recommended.

In assessing a PC as low Teal (3+4), you state it involves "relatively small amounts of cancer" and "relatively small amounts of 4". What is small? Is there a percentage calculation for each that is considered small versus not small? How does one know when it is or is not "small"?
Without a regular, open radical prostatectomy, my escaped cancer would have been missed. It was thought to be a 3+4, it’s better to overestimate than to be under, or you could be six feet under.
Now a PSMA PET scan would allow staging and treatment planning before choosing how to proceed.
I am 59. Few weeks ago biopsy of 14 samples. One is 40% the other 70%. Also Gleason 3+4 or 7. Stage Tc1. Thinking between Robotic Surgery or Radiotherapy.

@@RH-xd3nx VA doctor also works for University Hospital here, so they sent me there to his boss to discuss about the option of radio therapy. There are some risks of burning the colon etc, so for my age they recommended the robotic surgery. I am very well now. Biopsi of the prostate out was the same results as when it was in. So for now, undetectable cancer. Urinary continency is a lot better, using pads instead of the whole depends thing. Can sleep all night without any leaks, or wake up to urinate. I believe it was a good choice. Pain after surgery is manageable, just take it easy the first two weeks. Any other questions you can ask me here.
@@k2icc thanks for the quick response, me 6 samples of 12..5 are 3+3 and one is 3+4.. I'm 55 a bit scared ,from what I read aftet RP sex life and size takes a major hit .Making appointment with radiotherapy docs today..thanks again happy ur fine ur words are encouraging and thank you for your service sir.
@@RH-xd3nx You will still have a lot of isexual desire. Size wont be affected. Some have a little issue such as the thingy hidding a little on first weeks, but later on back to normal. If any decrease in size, it will be just a little. There are things out there to get it back to normal. Erection takes a long time, due to the nerves get affected by burning tools, etc, but you will be fine. Believe me. The main thing is to get the cancer out, then things will be better.

I was diagnosed through a pathology report after a Turp procedure as a Gleason 7 (3+4) about 3 years ago. My PSA has never climbed over 1.9 and my last PSA was back down to 1.2 . My doctor insists I will die from anything else but P.C. I had a MRI about a year ago and they couldn't even find the part of the prostate where the cancer was located and said I have no signs of spreading. I do have severe lower back, hip and upper leg pain but when I mention this to my doctor he says: I'm a urologist not a orthopedist. Any advice would be appreciated. Never have had a biopsy.
I'm not a doctor, but never take a man's opinion to heart doctor or not,if you feel compelled to dig deeper into ur health go for it !
Where do you suggest going to figure this out. We are from canada. Probable sit at mid tier Gleason 7 but not really sure. Not sure how to find a treatment centre or what to do. Please help. Thank you

@@masoudsaeedinia2191i’m doing good, it been 2 years since my surgery . it been a ups and down journey but i’m still cancer free. The first few days are the worse but it will go fast. I was on diapers for 5 months and still dealing with ED , it getting better.
