Shep, My name is Aaron and I went to Summit from 2004 to 2008, along with a year on travel in 2009 (which I still count as my sixth year). I was there during when Mayer and Ninette still owned the camp and I was also there for the late great Tim Kedge's last five summers. It was sad to hear about most of the Gang of Five leaving and I always wondered what the camp would be like now. I keep checking in on the Summit website to see what's going on. I heard about the new ownership earlier this year and now after seeing this video, I'm really impressed. Summit really helped me. I think no matter what summer camp you go to, a kid is going build character out there. It always impressed me that Summit was founded when there really wasn't anything such as in-class support or special education. I like these ideas of building independence and the new things you've added are all cool additions. This video helps confirm what I thought already: Summit Camp is in good hands.
S Jones Well- a bunch of things have changed. The structure of a year was different- with two sessions per year. There wasn't any specialty camp. I think there's only two unit leaders now. When I was there, there was a whole handful of them.
