- The first of many box opening coming to you from GenCon!!! This is Jacob’s box and it was quite nice to him 😁 We wanted to get this to you quickly, so pardon the lack of editing we usually have! Hope you enjoy!

First time Watching, the Energy here was something else!!! subscribed
with the small card pool, opening those feels great since there are almost no useless cards in the set, even little commons can make up their spot since you can shift on them. drawing a foil aladdin street rat actually feels good to watch. also all the super an legendary rare spots are great, only the rare pool feels a bit underwhelming.
Very true. The rare slot is technically the minimum so it doesn’t feel “special” BUT I do love there are 2 rare slots, and some rares are absolute staples for decks

My god these cards are beautiful
I have seen a few box openings and videos. and I'm pretty hopeful for the pull distribution. Getting Legendary Cards is more similar to the pull rate of something like a Majestic in Flesh and blood.
I’m not familiar with Flesh and Blood rarities/pull rates, but I’m definitely pleased with the legendary distribution in these boxes we’ve opened. Much better than I originally thought.
We just got Lorcana here in New Zealand, It was launch weekend at our local, and our fam just pulled the Elsa! It felt like winning lotto, possibly have the only one in NZ right now. Likely will get it graded. We are dumping all our pokemon cards to go all in on this we just love it!

I have reasonable amount ease/challenge finding packs at or near msrp. The issue i have is severe lack of foils. That being said the values should maintain value.
Jelly! Although I did get a foil Rapunzel Legendary from my Gen Con box! And I only waited 20 minutes in line to get mine lol It was a fluke thing

My booster pulls were very mid and I was so sad, but then I opened my Starter Deck, opened up the booster that comes with it........ENCHANTED ELSA ALT ART!

I ain't got a clue what this is!! But is it any value or money in this stuff?? Just asking..
The legendary cards can range from 5 to 40-45 each, depending on the card, but even some of the rares and super rares fall between $10-20 if they are popular/playable.
The real value is in the enchanted cards. Those are usually $100+
We mostly care about the collectibility and playability though. High Value is just icing on the cake.

How do you feel about the print quality and card stock? Does the card stock feel more like pokemon or one piece?
Print quality feels very solid. The cards have a decent firmness to them, and the foiling is very detailed according to each art. They don’t feel flimsy at all. I haven’t held a One Piece card so I’m not sure how to properly compare that specific example. Tyler says that they feel a lot more like Pokémon since he’s played both.

Is there already a card list available, and possibly a top 10 list?
There is a Lorcana companion app that has a list of all the cards. As far as top 10 list for specific categories there isn’t any for our channel right now but you can definitely expect some in the future!

Jealous, I have 5 Hobby stores around me an only 1 is getting Lorcana at launch and has already sold out of preorders. I expect I wont be able to buy a single pack at retail. Alot of stores will go buy up target an walmart stock then mark up the prices for resale.
Well, I imagine that the big box stores will be stocked pretty heavily, but it's also being sold in way more stores than I thought it would. With places like Barnes and Noble and Best Buy getting starter decks, it should help spread scalpers thin.
I'm sorry to hear about your local stores though.
Hopefully that can change soon! Gen Con is definitely a unique experience that we are lucky to be able to attend.

So boxes are not guaranteed enchanted cards! But at least they’re guaranteed legendary rares! Good to know!
No, they aren’t. My current thinking is that Enchanted are going to be roughly 1 out of every 8-10 or so boxes. We’ve seen a lot posted today, but they’ve sold SO MANY BOXES that I’d expect more to be posted if they were pulled more frequently than that. I like the rarity though because it should drive people to open their boxes and bring singles prices down.

The joke was a reference to a game still in development by Upper Deck. Upper deck sued Ravensburger for “stealing their game” and putting a Disney skin on it. So the joke was that if you took the art off it would be their game, but he wasn’t being serious at all. This game is unique and great :)

Did you guys say there is an app to learn how to play the game? What is it?
There is a companion app to see all of the cards! As far as learning to play, there are some very very short videos that walk through super basic stuff, but we actually have a series called Lorcana Lessons that goes through teaching the game and improving in an easy way to understand. 😄

Wait I thought you get 1 enchanted per box though no?
Enchanted cards are not guaranteed in any box. There is speculation that they are averaging 1 of each 4 boxes or so, but again that’s still just speculation.

A matter of habit, Haha Similar to “foil-etched” in Magic too. The way the art has specific foiling spots that emphasize the art in certain ways is 🔥

Why show the commons?
Since it was my first box to ever open for a brand new game, it personally felt especially worthwhile to soak in every little bit.
I like it. Makes it more like realistic and so you can know what to expect
