Jared is the coolest TH-camr. He's the only one I've ever seen that actually gets out there and participates with the car community. He's out there just having fun and not just trying to get content.

Love Jared - he's so easy going, and always take the time to fully explain everything that he does ( both the why and the how ). I never realised he was such a big unit !

I had bright idea in 1975 to replace the awful 4 cylinder engine in my 73 Vega GT, with an all aluminum 215 V8 out of a 63 Olds F-85, after reading of it done in a Hot Rod magazine. There were zero aftermarket parts available and once I rebuilt the new motor, everything had to be custom made to make it work. No suspension mods were needed as the 215 weighed just 20 pounds more than the 4 banger. I did 90% of the work myself going to a race car welder for things like engine mounts. It wasn't cheap to do such a project. Adjusted for today's dollars, just the hours billed out for my own labour would be over $50K. With another $50K for parts and machine shop work. It made a great swap though!

Wow, The Questionable Garage is much more than a Holley ECE tuning specialist and wiring guru! This guy covers the whole build, from engine/transmission/torque converter/exhaust to suspension/brakes to body. He loves to hide his talents in a questionable looking vehicle, but the result will bow you out of the water. His knowledge is maybe a step above David Freiburger and Steve Dulcich!

One of my memorable moments with Mopar was visiting my extended family in Blairsville, PA and my cousin had a 1970 Barracuda with the 318 (and a slapstick auto). I opened the hood and I have never (not exaggerating) seen so much empty space under a hood short of an engine out. You can tell it was built to take far bigger/more complex engines.

Love Tool Box trucks. That said I once owned a beautiful old 1.5 to 2 ton Ford Y block winch truck (Former BellSouth) with a magnificent tool bed. Put a bunch of tools in it for storage. All of my tools disappeared. Years later I found out that it was a childhood friend of mine that cleaned me out. It's was his own younger brother that told me he was "That Way".The Brother had had his own experiences with that. I look forward to NOT predeceasing him if God will oblige me. I will NEVER forget.
If I had a do-over. I would put all my tools in a vault. Tools that belong to others ... to a HOCK SHOP HOUND ... once seen cannot be unseen and then stolen.
It's great to see Jared when he is not in video making mode. More relaxed and down to earth, love it.

Plymouth 318 Polysperical Engine was last offered in 1966 Plymouths in America and 1967 in Canada... Plymouth and Dodge went to what was called the LA block a Wedge instead of a Polysperical engine in 1967... *Utilizing technology from the 413 switch to 440, which places cylinder walls closer together; the 273 V8 LA block Barracuda was introduced in 1964, and the 440 introduced in Chryslers 1966..... !!

So much fun seeing YOU have fun, Wizard and Mrs Wizard! Really entertaining.
I tell people I learned my fractions by being the tool boy at 6 years old helping my dad fix cars, it was easier for me to crawl in and out underneath a car. And that’s how I learned to work on cars and I didn’t have the money to pay someone so I had to do it. I purchased a LOT of Harbor Freight tools and today I went and purchased a 40 lb sand blaster and the 50 lb portable sand blaster and the 20 gallon parts cleaner. At the end of July I purchased a 1954 Ford Customline to cruise around in.
Two of my favorite people onscreen (and two more off-screen, Mrs. Wizard and editor Dwayne, are probably there somewhere).
23:30 Wild. Most of the vehicles I owned in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania were upfitted with _full_ blue emergency lighting.
Perfectly *_legal_* up there for all of my volunteer firefighter/first responder duties.
Down here in Florida now? Yeah...kinda not so much. LOL! 🙃

The bit about the technical legality of that light bar reminded me of a story told by a friend that lived in Arizona. Seems a buddy of his got one of those headlight flasher modules used by police cars at one time. After putting it in his car, he got a kick out of pulling up behind some of his friends and making them think they were being pulled over by an unmarked car. A cop finally caught him using the lights and he had to surrender the flasher module to get out of impersonation charges.

@thequestionablegarage Put some Accumulators in the Hydro system for the Ferrari truck. It makes Hydros ride really smooth. Slows down up and down. So if that’s a concern, skip it
