Beautiful! I didn't know this recording. Jongepier is still one of my main inspirations; not only because of his superb improvising, but also because of the way he understood organs, and was able to communicate about the instruments. When he started talking / writing about organs, it gripped people like a fairy-tale. I feel very fortunate to have been one of his students.
Beautiful and unique recording, thank you very much for sharing! Always fascinating to hear the influence and the link between the improvisations of Jan Jongepier and Sietze de Vries.
Thanks! I appreciate your channel a lot for making those analyses of Sietze's improvisations! Do you have any plans to branch out to other Baroque style improvisers as well? (well, not that there are a lot of choices)
@@joannescouchet7038 Thanks Joannes. As you say, there are very few improvisers that are really capable to improvise in baroque-style. Jan Jongepier was one of the greatest. In this area, Sietze's level is (in my opinion) absolutely unmatched. For now i will continue to analyse his work. Never boring!
You've got these people who are never satisfied, like yours truly. This is great, but it would be incomparably better if we could know the registrations. Probably not possible :-(

Outstanding. Really outstanding. In turn, the famous organ is superb. One of Arp Schnitger's masterpieces.

You're much familiar with this organ than me, are there registrations that you can identify?
@@joannescouchet7038 I wouldn't dare to attempt that! I just love to gripe ;-)
