      @@charlesjc893 actually we have already been to Kota Kinabalu but just to learn diving. We are planning to head back for a full Borneo trip (Malalysian part) for about 30 days but we don’t know when yet. We did not hike up the mountain as it was too expensive for our budget 😕 We most likely will come to Borneo end of this year or beginning of next year. But we did love the nature around Kk ☺️☺️

      @@boardingaway have you been to _kampung baru_ which is a traditional local malay residence within the heart of the city, it is a walking distance (for tourists, not for locals who are like me though haha) from the klcc, in fact if it's the evening, there is a beautifully lit up bridge that connects the two sides called _pintasan saloma_ which is also an instagram spot.
      In _kampung baru_ you can enjoy lots of traditional malay food, from breakfast/lunch common to the malays like _nasi lemak_ which is the country's proclaimed national dish, try one at _restoran wanjo,_ as well as _nasi dagang_ and _laksam_ which you should try at _restoran kak som._
      For lunch, there is _nasi campur_ which you should try at _restoran chunburi_ right at where the street forks, you get a plate of white rice from the staff then you add whatever protein (chicken/beef/fish/prawn/squid/cockle, etc) and veges, even sides, that you want, each priced differently. I think rice + 1 protein item + 1 helping of vege would cost about 8 ringgit. Note that if you don't eat much rice you can ask the staff for "half nasi" (½ rice). Drinks maybe you try _teh O ais limau_ (lemon iced tea, where the letter O in malaysian drinks mean without milk) which i think may be 3 ringgit?
      Also at the same restaurant (I believe it only opens around noon for lunch onward and not in the morning for breakfast) you can sample some traditional malay _kuih_ which is a huge variety of traditional snacks, I personally think this is a must for tourists especially if you like sweet snacks (I didn't miss scottish tablets when visiting edinburgh, stroopwafels when in amsterdam, etc). Here I recommend trying _kuih tepung pelita, kuih kochi, lompat tikam,_ and also the sweet _bubur_ (porridges) _bubur jagung_ (corn) and _bubur kacang_ (green/mung beans).
      If you want to view the lit up _pintasan saloma_ then you can also go for affordable simple seafood dinner at _restoran suraya seafood_ where you can have a plate of rice, plus maybe _ikan_ (fish) _kerapu/siakap_ steamed, or if you like it hot (chilli hot) then go for _tiga rasa_ (three flavors - hot, sour and sweet) and get a plate of veges too, these will be for 2 persons and cost about 20 euros. Also, you cannot miss their snack _pulut mangga_ which is steamed glutinous rice eaten with slices of ripe mango, and flooded with thick creamy coconut milk, yum! 😋
      Btw _restoran wanjo, restoran kak som, restoran suraya seafood, and restoran chunburi_ are all within a few doors away from each other in the same street.
      Lastly, I recommend you get avocado shake, but I don't remember the name of the eatery, it's not far at all from _restoran kak som and suraya seafood,_ should be in between the two but on the other side of the street. That is also yummy! 😋 If you don't like it too sweet you can ask them to make it _kurang manis_ (less sweet)
      Have fun! 👍

Momentan sind wir mit super viel Gepäck unterwegs und in Indien wollen wir sehr sehr lightweigt und flexibel sein, am Besten nur 1 Rucksack pro Person. 😅

      @@boardingaway Like many other travel vloggers, they overlay subtitles in the video which are good enough.

    • @boardingaway
      @boardingaway  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@honeycheesepotatochips4008 we will figure out how to do that 🥰

    • @jonmath4182
      @jonmath4182 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a big and tedious job for vloggers to further write their own subtitles on top of having to edit hours of several video shots, I truly understand that.
      Therefore since youtube has provided the automatic subtitle feature, I strongly urge viewers including myself to use this if the vlogger does not add their own subtitles.
      For those who may not know how, click on the setting (wheel/gear) button, then on the drop down menu click captions, then click auto translate, then click english, voila! 👍
