Nice video. I've actually applied for Morehouse College, and I'm hoping to attend later this year. Think I'll enjoy it based on this.
On one hand, I'm happy to see brothers repping my alma mater (Class of '08) with pride (shout out to Mahogany as well). However, the other side is that with great power comes great responsibility. That means being held to a higher standard as a student and/or graduate of Morehouse (or anywhere in the AUC for that matter). There is a subtle, but MAJOR detail that is being ignored:
If you have not yet graduated from Morehouse, you are a Man OF Morehouse. Only AFTER you graduate have you EARNED the title of Morehouse Man.
That's Lesson #1 when you get on the yard, bruh. How can you celebrate the institution and not respect the process? Just think about that. I say that out of LOVE cause I have my brother's back. I applaud the effort, but y'all are out of pocket... straight up.
considering that this supposed to be a Morehouse version of Jidenna's "Classic Man," we can't really make Man of Morehouse fit, now can we ? We are all very cognizant of what title comes before which, but the nature of the song does not allow for that. Plus, you could say that we're speaking things into existence lol

Y'all didn't think it was important enough to take it THAT seriously. It speaks to the neglect of true appreciation of the COMPLETE process (that doesn't imply intent to disgrace the process, but that IS the outcome). It would be different if this was made by someone who is not a student... Y'all know better, bruh.That's like a soldier in basic training talking bout "I'm a Marine, Navy Seal, etc." That's just not right and anybody who has EARNED that title will see something wrong with it. They MIGHT not blast you, but they're thinking it. Speaking things into existence is cool, but it SHOULD be done with respect. Hopefully, one day you will have earned the title of actually being a Morehouse Man and you will want to preserve the genuine spirit from where that term originates. Like I said, I applaud the EFFORT, but come correct.

Good intent, but I personally think that this video will actually turn away prospective students. The message would have a greater effect if it was given in a serious tone instead of one that has a "party" feel.
