I've heard that it's only recently that Indians are required to do 3 years of waiver jobs in order to escape the requirement to return to home country for 2 years. Meaning earlier indians could go on a j1 visa and neither had to do the 3 year waiver job nor did they have to return back home, and that only recently has this changed since India isn't giving out a no objection letter (I'm not sure what it's called), and there have been some changes with NORI legislation and hence we have to do the waiver job now. Is that true? Or has it ALWAYS been the case that physicians on a j1 visa had to the waiver job, including indians. I'm only asking because i know there's Indians who, after staying on a j1 visa, immediately find places in big name institutions, so i was wondering if they had to do the waiver job too.
Hey! India stopped giving NORI to Indian doctors training abroad after 2015. What impact does this have on those doctors? Do they have to return to india for 2 years after USA training now?
Hello Sir! I'm pursuing MBBS under WBUHS too. Could you please tell me if WBUHS agrees to extend the graduation date so I can pursue my electives after internship or what you had done in your case?
