A song that could have been written for Geordie, it's bittersweet that he shared his gift for playing the strings on this very tune to remind us of his talent just when we're missing him most. Enjoy the beautiful journey as much as we did your musical gift over the decades.

This song should be a hit. Killing Joke can lay down a thrasher, a new waver, a punker or a rocker at will. Will the rest of the world ever clue in to their greatness ???

I think of bands this good as the hidden reward for daring to delve past the hit parade of top 40 artists. Your point that "Killing Joke can lay down a thrasher, a new waver, a punker or a rocker at will" is excellent.

These guys always wrote music with urgency and put their heart into it and stay contemporary. Yet, still a small following, hopefully bigger than I expect. They have songs that tell the sad truth, and some angers, and some make you just tear up. This is art in the form of Killing Joke. Not Oscar Wilde. These guys taught me a lot. I hope it's not too late for us just yet. Jaz, Geordie and co., the late, great Raven King, Paul Raven, so much love, admiration and respect from some dude here in the States. Take care, fellows.

One of the few older bands that can reinvent and adapt their sound without ever feeling dated. Even this song that is over a decade old still feels like it could have been made by a new band today or even a band from the 90's. Timelessness is a great indicator of creativity, IMO, and this song feels like its all encompassing. I love it.

    Saw, all those things,
    I should have said,
    While I had the time.
    You, who stood by me,
    When I lost the plot,
    You were always kind.
    All, through these mortal joys,
    Through my anger,
    And endless rain.
    And during, my addictions,
    Yet the love you showed,
    Still remained the same.
    I'm grateful,
For all the times we've shared.
    Through struggles, and madness,
    You're there.
I've seen you, in a dream,
On a sunny day, where the skies are clear.
    I'll see you, in Cythera,
On an island, far away from here.
    If I don't return
    Before your time is up
I promise to set your place
On the table with wine and fill your cup
    And to, ourselves we lie,
    As we, break down inside,
    'Cause we never, said enough,
    How much we really loved.
    I'm grateful,
For all the times we've shared.
    Through struggles, and madness,
    You're there.
I've seen you, in a dream,
On a sunny day, where the skies are clear.
    I'll see you, in Cythera,
On an island, far away from here.
    I'm grateful,
For all the times we've shared.
    Through struggles, and madness,
    You're there.
I've seen you, in a dream,
On a sunny day, where the skies are clear.
    I'll see you, in Cythera,
On an island, far away from here.

Unparalleled savage beauty in a minor key. It just doesn't get any better. I've been a fan of Killing Joke since their earliest records of around 1979-80, but this track and video are just flat-out astounding.

Jaz means Genius. He always writes this beautifully. The band follows, as usual. This is a stunnig Kiling Joke tune.

+Luís Meleiro And above the hard music, Killing Joke is using as a peaceful warfare, listening to the texts, against the ever increasing power of the western scientifically and so called democracy based tradition, using an economic system that demands growth culture, and the unfair use of the horrible fruits of the scientific tree (weapons) to engage in an unfair competition between all cultures in the world. Unfair in the sense that a Natural tradition that respects Mother Earth, stands no chance to those weapons to force those cultures to change to the western way. Those indigenous people were systematically wiped out by the west. Of course not all. There are still some left, but the way I see it´s a matter of time before also the last one disappear (they are now put in parks), unless the radical change is made that all traditions and worldviews have equal rights to exist and live their culture to the full. But to be realistic, I don´t see there will come changes. And realistic is not the same as depressing. And then there is the issue of the dogma that economy should grow, thereby destructing the (still beautiful but existing in lots lesser quantities) Nature. Let´s hope it´s not too late to turn the tide, but I doubt it. The nice thing about Jaz is that he is also a composer of a totally opposite kind of music: classic music. He worked with lots of famous orchestras and made a considerable tribute. This is Jaz in the nonwar mode, where he contributes to culture in an entirely different way. I like it when a man´s interest in a particular aspect of culture (music) are so different.

+Marco Barbieri , despite the fact of agreeing vs. disagreeing with your comment, which is not relevant anyway, I honestly think you write (or express yourself, to be precise) tremendously well. If only I could have half of your vocabulary, I'd dare to allow myself much deeper comments concerning the lyrics' aspects of the songs, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, thank you so much for your statement.
