Govt is charging 18% tax on health insurance . What is the logic behind this ? It’s very irresponsible & irrational tax. It should be minimum slab
Enabling environment of bringing insurance companies and preven them from exploiting people by exhorbitant premiums etc is possible only because of setting rules and regulations in place. So many people work behind the scenes to build such infrastructure and for maintenance. Unless users pay for such services, it is people who ultimately lose out. Expecting any service to come without paying to government is not rational. What slab should it attract is for the law-makers like MPs to decide.

In fact, most of the times we were suggesting midcaps and always maintained that largecaps are for wealth preservation and midcaps are for wealth creation. It is only in the last couple of months, we are cautioning investors to pay more attention to large caps since many midcaps have run ahead of fundamentals are looking fairly priced. We don't have or will never have any bias on market caps. Same way, we don't differentiate investors based on their type of association with Vivekam. Do you have a choice? creating an enabling environment where by we get protection and also assure insurance companies don’t exploit us and to maintain orderliness requires huge amounts to be spent by government. Rates are decided by GST Council and we only voted them to be in power. 🤷
