I did a little research and some calculating. Since Dallas last won the Super Bowl their overall winning percentage is around 54%. I even included the three most recent 12-win seasons which frankly are historical aberrations. 54% translates to a 9 - 8 record for an average season, barely more than mundane. No general manager with that kind track record bringing in talent should expect to have a job for long. Especially a general manager who proclaimed he was going all in this past offseason and did nothing. But the Cowboys general manager has no accountability and the expectation should always be at best a few good seasons that are nothing more than outliers immediately followed by a painful regression to the mean. Until Jerry realizes that he’s an overmatched GM the long term track won’t change. Of course he has too big of an ego to ever admit this. And you guys end up bearing the brunt of the result.
Cooper Rush did just as Dak would have done! The team sucks and it is NOT just a QB issue! Trey Lance sucks too with this terrible offensive line, no running game, and only one good receiver!
Giants fan here. It seems that the Cowboys might actually be in worse shape than the Gmen moving forward. There’s now hope that we are moving on from the backup Jones with a high draft pick. You guys are screwed with the insane contracts handed out by Jones. While Dak is capable of putting up gaudy numbers, he’s not a winning player and as long as Jerry is owner, GM and any maybe a few other offices, he’ll never bring in someone with a big personality that knows what the hell they’re doing.
