many years ago surely before the year 2000 i heard a BBCprograme about him . when he was young he walked all the way from Leigh (Lancs.) to Blackpool to hear Caruso singing. it was a fascinating programe , i recorded it but i must have lost the cassette in some move . Pity.

Not bad for a miner from Leigh Lancashire. Exceptional voice pity more of his recordings are overlooked.
