A really cool mix of castings from various brands shown here. My favorites: Tarmac Works Land Rover Defender, Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth from Inno64, the "JCar" Chevy C-10 Cheyenne truck from Auto World, the 1988 Toyota Starlet from "BM Creations" and the blue BMW M3 from Schuco (better than the yellow version imo). The "Black Edition" 5-pack from Majorette looks cool as well, especially Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 and the Challenger Demon. So much good stuff from so many brands out there, thanks for showing all these.

Found the chase for that GreenLight Hollywood "Drive" Ford Mustang GT 5.0 (Blue Machine) had Blue wheels and base. My first GreenLight Chase in fact! So pretty cool!

    Stinger Diecast 🔥
What up? You do something that I like to do and I enjoy it a lot. I like that you handle the Diecast with your hands and not on a turntable per the norm. I can get different 3D views I can hear the materials of the car clicking and rattling which tells me a lot about a piece. My comment is long so next time I’ll talk about the specific pieces your showing I will tell you this I’m not a big Greenlight fan and no shade to anyone who is but you’ve got me after that Mustang
    Have a great day
    Peace

Greenlight is definitely a brand that can be tough to love but nobody else does what they do nearly as well. I'm a huge fan even though their lack of quality control is a real issue.

Thank you for your information on M2. It's been a while as I said that I've found a lot of die-cast cars. I was not a fan of M2 as you said. I just wasn't sure about them. As I said in my other comment, I had a few bad rollers and some poorly made cars from them. However again as I also said, they've changed a lot, and my appreciation has increased big time. I've really become a bigger fan of classic model cars. Mercury, Chevy, Ford, Oldsmobile, etc. They've made some great progress in their line up and has made me a fan of their work. I'm still hoping to find a 1949 Mercury Monterey as I mentioned. I was able to finally get the OCP Police car from Robocop. I got the entire set minus the MacGyver Truck. Greenlight is another great product. Although my Dodge Challenger from that wave has some rolling issues. The wheels don't have full clearance. I've had some bad luck...lol. We don't find many die-cast cars here, especially Hot Wheels and Matchbox. But the new Hot Wheels set with the McLaren P1, the blue Koenigsegg Jesko, and the blue Acura. Well my Acura wasn't assembled right. The interior is pressing on the wheels causing them to stick, not roll. Great castings, bad luck. The Koenigsegg was fine thank goodness. Is the distribution bad everywhere. I know we have a huge population of scalpers here. There are at least 15-20 every morning outside of Wal-Mart and Target stores, and even Goodwill. But our pegs are usually barren, empty. Even the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks are wiped out. I've still never found a Bigfoot, the Mystery Machine, or the Back to the Future DeLorean. Matchbox is never there. For premium die-cast, if we have any, it'll be a couple M2 models that aren't selling on eBay. Some of the oddball Hot Wheels character cars and real rider cartoon or Superhero cars and trucks. Once in a blue moon we'll find a Greenlight or a case that was somehow missed. Johnny⚡Lightning⚡they get again once in a great while. They do sometimes have Auto🌎World🌎selections. Never any chase models. In the 15 years I've lived here I've found ONE Super Treasure Hunt, and it was the Back to the Future DeLorean Hover Mode casting. No rubber tires. Barely any noticeable difference except better detailing. See bad luck..lol.
Sorry for the massive comments. I've loved and collected die-cast cars and trucks for decades. I can remember as a kid racing my cars on our coffee table. It was a long table and while not extremely wide you could have a nice group of cars race. I'd either use a book or two, and a starting gate, or I'd just lift the table and the first car off the end won. Then I got a Sizzlers track. Even back then I used that track for my regular Hot Wheels. Just the straight tracks. Down the table to the floor. It was great. Then Star Wars came. Die-cast collecting kind of fell out of sight for a bit. I've collected Kenner classics and now Hasbro Star Wars Black Series figures both 6" and 3.75", as well as the Legacy lineups. Marvel Legends also were a big part of my hobbies. Again both of the 3.75" to 4" figures up to the 6" Legends from Toy Biz and later Hasbro. Those are also empty on our shelves as well. As I said before scalpers are numerous here. Anything that can make them money they buy, then they jump to eBay to sell. They have connections in the stores. This still seems so ridiculous but they've actually bribed the stockers/clerks to either hold the case(s) of the items, OR keep all the chase pieces in back. "Holding" it for them until they get there. Even in the height of my collecting days, I NEVER bribed anyone. I'd go to the store at say 7am or 9am if they opened later. Before Covid-19 Wal-Mart obviously was open 24hrs. Now they close at 11pm and open at 7am. Then my health took a dive. I somehow couldn't shake it. It started well before this pandemic crud. 4-5 years actually. I had gotten the flu. It got worse. I had tried to work through it. I ended up with Bronchial Pneumonia. A few months later, I got it again, and the next year again! I had been in retail for 25 year, but moved on to a soldering circuit boards, and a job at a Paper Mill job. When Covid-19 hit I was in deep. The many bouts of pneumonia had weakened my lungs causing emphysema. A terminal illness, but it's slow acting. You basically are drowning inside your own body. Then I needed knee and hip replacement surgery. The irony, I took care of my Mother. She passed away from this same illness/disease. Now disabled, I can't play hoops, or baseball, unless it's on my PS Vita or my PS3/PS4. Being a collector now is next to impossible. My dream of doing a You Tube🏁Racing🏁 is not possible. Walking has now been extremely frustrating and painful. As well as being out of breath from walking through the parking lot. Collecting was an escape for me. To enjoy my days finding cars to🏁Race🏁and collect. Building dioramas, garages, parking lots, and a 4x4🏁Racing🏁⛰Mountain!🏔 Now I'm hoping I can alter my collecting experience to now become a customizer. I have a great drill and I have done some research and work on some cars already. Painting/detailing interiors. My goal is making iconic classics. 4x4's. Wheels swaps, new paint, better interior details, headlights, taillights, even antennas and mufflers. Anything to add more details. Again I apologize for rambling, but when I first became ill, You Tube saved me from losing my mind laying in that bed 24/7. I saw die-cast racing channels. Die-cast collecting videos. These all reminded me of my youth,🏁Racing.🏁 Life is so precious. It can be gone in a SNAP! My Dad passed from cancer, another BRUTAL Disease. My point? Life is far too short and much to precious to take it for granted. During this time, I've seen people get into fights over a case of 🔥Hot🔥Wheels🔥 and/or Matchbox. I've seen people load up their carts with baby formula when there was the shortage. Then they spun around and sold it on eBay for insanely ridiculous prices.🙄 🙄 This hobby used to be a great community of people. Collector's from all over the 🌎 WORLD!🌎 Hanging out on-line chatting. Collection was fun! It was a hobby, not a cutthroat business. I realize it's not like this everywhere, all of the time. I really just hope this trend in our hobby stops. Again back when collecting was fun, recording races was really great fun! Finding a casting you've wanted for ages, or one you saw for the first time. The belly drop you'd get once you saw that casting? EPIC! Now it's, I hope somebody left a case of "SOMETHING", "ANYTHING!". Or maybe even one casting, perhaps?😆🤣😂😆🤣😂😹😆🤣😂
Take care! Be safe, and God Bless!

Whoa a Mercury Custom? Nice. I've wanted a Mercury Monterey like the one in the Stallone movie Cobra, forever. That and the Demolition Man cop car. M2 has really upped their game over the last year or so. I actually had stopped buying them for a while. I had some bad rollers, and some others that weren't very well made. However that's changed a lot it seems. Plus, the Hot Wheels and Matchbox pegs are always empty. Plus nobody sells Majorette here except for once in a while the second hand store or a few Dollar stores or an off brand like TJ Maxx. But that's a rarity. It's been over a year since I've been able to spend $20.00+ on one trip to our Wal-Mart or Target. I envy your stores and finds...wow!

The Majorette 5pack was amazing. I am a fan of the Audi casting. The wheels were a bit off. But the car itself is sweet. The Dodge Demon, also nice as were the other three. The Mercedes though and the Land Rover, those had great wheels, and add the suspension, those were sweet castings. That's a set I wish I could find here. But since our Toys R Us 🇺🇸 😢closed😢down😢 we have as I said no stores that sell Majorette at all, again except for Dollar General/TJ Maxx/ or our resale shop. But they've been basing prices off eBay. So, what used to be $1.50-$4.00 for Hot Wheels 10-15 years old are now, $5.00 to $15.00.
I'm really glad you included a new Maisto. I saw the new catalog from them for 2022 and they had some really nice looking castings, as well as a 2 pack camper, truck and trailer with a 🐟fishing🐟(bass🎣boat), one had a speed boat or a type of🚤🚤speedboat🚤🚤and the vehicles actually looked great on paper, but you know as well as I do, catalog photos and real life items aren't always a match! They(Maisto) also have a Buick Regal and a Buick Regal Grand National that look incredible.👌 The trucks from the 2-packs are decent too. Rubber tires, nice decos, decent scaling, and nice interior. A lot of older Maisto castings had ⚫blacked⚫out⚫windows with no interior at all. They really look good again on paper, but as you moved the Mustang around it sounded like mostly cheap plastic. I'm guessing the cars are light, plastic bases? Rubber tires is good. Maisto usually had good taillight and headlight tampos. I will say though the wheels looked really good.

Target sells a very limited selection of Majorette in the US but unfortunately not that 5 pack. They did have the Porsche 5 pack last year but it seemed to move pretty slowly. I think Jada is really hurting the brand by not bringing more variety to Target.

Man I love Greenlight Drive series package. I think I must buy one car from this series, just for this packaging and put it above my display case. Im just love Ryan Goosling vibe from this movie. Thanks to your video series 'Whats the deal with', I started thinking about leveling up, my diecast collector hobby. Mainly I collected HW Premiums but now I see, that I really should check other 1:64 brands too. There is so many cool castings...

It is illegal to sell anything with cigarette branding on it in Australia which is why it doesn't have the decals, actual packets of cigarettes' can't even be sold with branding on them.

I love M2 but I agree with the base issues I think the base they come on is really cheap and they screw them in really tight it seems so the axes are basically being crushed by the pressure of the screws to the base none the less it’s like green light you have to look pass it’s issues

    • @StingerDiecast

Yeah, fortunately it seems M2 has improved their quality some what of late. Wish the same could be said of Greenlight.

Some castings are, but you're right a lot aren't. Definitely something I do still struggle with about the brand.
