Yep! I use a lot of that (Canned Fruit, Granola Bars, Folgers Instant) for my Lunchbox every day. Two Things: A) If you have a Costco/BJ's/Sam's Club or have a friend or family member with a membership, you can get about 80% of what you showed in Bulk and it's even cheaper! B) Save the empty cans! Tape the lids back on with some pebbles in them and string them with trip wire around your base camp for Early Warning! Good Job!👍 PS: Get the Hunts Snack Pack Pudding (No Refrigerator Needed!) and dip your Granola Bars in them for Dessert! Tastes Great, 340 calories, No Cooking needed!👌
When my dad took me hunting and fishing as a kid (back in the 80's) we always brought potted meat, vienna sausage, beenie weenie, deviled ham, and crackers. I loved it as a kid, and it's just as good today. I'm turning my wife onto this stuff now lol. She really digs potted meat lol. When we take the kids camping, we take canned chicken and Knorr pasta sides. It makes for a really good dinner for really cheap.
Great video. I personally don't drink coffee, but I always carry it into the bush. When I'm two days from the trailhead packing in, and meet some poor folks on their way out, who drank all their coffee and they're all jonesing really bad for a cup-o-joe, the barter factor is way in my favor. If they have nothing to trade, I'll settle for trail reports, or info on how many people they've seen farther in. Good things to know
Never underestimate your cans after using the food. The cans are a multitool within themselves. There were times I needed to replace a grommet in a pinch or needed to make something like an arrow head or 3 or makeshift hardware for something.
Great video! Very interesting. Also caned bread is good. All good stuff for day hikes or weekend camp out. As for drinks, instant coffee, instant tea,and Tang. Yes Tang! Use a bouillon cube to cook Ramon. Dry fruit n nuts as snack. Keep up the great videos! Tks
I have not yet tried Legacy, but I have tried Wise, Mountain House, Oregon Freeze Dry, Provident Pantry, Alpine Aire, Auguson Farms, and Emergency Essentials. I will put Legacy on my list to try in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great Vids on E Food Kits I have told people about those food items some listen and some though I was nutsy , Hormel Compleats , Lance Crackers , 17oz water .
LOL Well the part you don't see, is the bottles behind me are only some of the bottles lol. We entertain people a lot, and wife is a restaurant manager/chef, so we have a decent bar for when company is visiting.
Another great video, Mike. My son & I had been working on the same thing for a couple of weeks before I watched this. I work at Walmart as an overnight stocker, so I see most of this stuff every day. Thanks for validating my efforts. One thing though: Never eat peanut butter with beans....your farts'll stick to the roof of your ass!
Walmart used to carry much more gear and guns way back in the day, and that has diminished over the years, but you can still find some great, cheap, foodstuff to throw into a BOB or pack that will work just as good if you bought only MREs from a food storage warehouse. LMAO that is a good tip!
Great vid! But maybe ditch the cameraman and invest in a tripod.? His grunting gasping breathing and bad camera work was distracting from the information you were offering
We know we need a better camera and tripod, which is why we are trying to raise funds on Patreon and on TH-cam FanFunding. It was -11 degrees out the day we filmed this vid and the tripod was creaking and cracking from the freezing temps, plus the camera battery kept dying, and it doesn't help the wife was sick when we filmed. She was trying not to cough or sniffle.

As an experienced soldier, i would eat all of that. As an experienced backpacker, i'm not carrying any of that heavy stuff.
Great video.

cheap, tasty and most importantly good for morale instead of just calories. A great video, thank you.
Thanks for watching, be sure to check back every week for new videos!

Loving this latest batch of food videos! Makes me hungry though! One question: when are we going to talk about all the booze behind you? haha

Nothing wrong with having a well stocked bar. Cheers!
Excellent.
Good vid. I have also used microwave meals as they are ready to eat without cooking.

you should maybe mention honey both sweet calories and medical benefits of it
Thats in other food storage videos
And I mention along with the little packs of peanut butter
Small Spam cans 'too much for one man'??? Nonsense.

My cameraman is my WIFE. And we have a Patreon page if you'd like to donate so we can purchase a better camera and better tripod.
LOL. Sorry. No offense intended to the lady.
