BODRUM liegt auf der gleichnamigen Halbinsel in der Provinz Mugla an der türkischen Ägäis. Die Stadt hat ca. 37.000 Einwohner.
Das Wahrzeichen der Stadt ist die mächtige Kreuzritterburg Bodrum Kalesi. Diese mittelalterliche Burg wurde zum Teil aus Steinen des Mausoleums von Halikarnassos errichtet, das zu den sieben Weltwundern der Antike zählte und im 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr. fertiggestellt wurde.
Bei Urlaubern ist Bodrum vor allem für sein Nachtleben bekannt. Viele Einwohner aus Istanbul haben hier ein Ferienhaus. Nicht nur türkische sondern auch internationale Persönlichkeiten machen hier gerne Urlaub. Nicht umsonst wird Bodrum auch das Saint Tropez der Türkei genannt.
Charakteristisch für die Küste rund um Bodrum sind die zahlreichen Inseln und Buchten. Dieses Gebiet ist für Segler ein Paradies.
Die Türkische Ägäis ist voller Schönheit, mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Natur, tollen Küsten und traumhaften Badebuchten mit kristallklarem Wasser.

BODRUM is located on the peninsula of the same name in the Mugla province on the Turkish Aegean Sea. The city has around 37,000 inhabitants.
The city's landmark is the mighty crusader castle Bodrum Kalesi. This medieval castle was built partly from stones from the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and built in the 4th century BC. was completed.
Bodrum is best known among holidaymakers for its nightlife. Many residents of Istanbul have a holiday home here. Not only Turkish but also international personalities like to vacation here. It's not for nothing that Bodrum is called the Saint Tropez of Türkiye.
The numerous islands and bays are characteristic of the coast around Bodrum. This area is a paradise for sailors.
The Turkish Aegean is full of beauty, with many sights, nature, great coasts and wonderful bays with crystal clear water.
