42:26 First time commenter, and I’m having to spend it on agreeing with Andrew. I also always click “Not now” and “Remind me later” for fear of not knowing how to do a task in another way later where time is of the essence🤦🏻♂️😂
Yeah I do the exact same thing, I'm afraid I'm more like Andrew than I thought 😅 He's right though the few times I ever answered yes on when I wanted to choose a different one I couldn't!
I can operate my computer only as far as it takes to play games. Of course I've never worked an office job so quite a few things many people take for granted elude me regarding productivity software.
The reason I don't click Always is because there are situations where I open a document, and the document is not portrayed correctly in the suggested app.
Eric is correct, "bright" means acidic/fresh/crisp in regards to food. That "zing" helps to cut through fattier, heavier foods to balance dishes/meals.
I have a clip for Gavin to present... 9:56 "What's the most hotdoggy month" "July probably" "It's probably the most ice creamy month as well" 10:17 "So we'll have to bin off one of the dogs and the flavors" "Well we could just do two in one day" July 31st exists gang.
Regulation engagement comment. How dare andrew try to pass off the April fools makeover art as the real neopets art. I expect nothing less from a weasel who could die from laughing too much
My parents house in PA had a built in vacuum. The tubes all led to a very large container in our garage, my dad would empty it maybe once a month when vacuuming every weekend. They loved it.
Some info about central vac: I agree it doesn't make sense for small spaces, but it's a must for large homes. The hose is longer than most cords, and the canister is much bigger. In my parent's house, the canister is in the garage, so it can be beside the big garage bin for easy dumping. It's also in a bag, so you just throw out the whole bag for less mess. We never had problems with clogs or anything, and the suction is great. As someone that grew up with it, it's funny to hear the other experience
As someone who worked in IT. The whole conversation about the "always" option breaking thing's, andrew is not wrong. Phone OS updates break the most stupid thing that should be an "always" link
I know what Andrew was talking about regarding the app selection on his phone, and how to fix it. First, it's a question of how to open files and links when compatible applications are installed. If you have several media players installed and you pick a media file on your file browser to open, the phone will ask you which one you prefer to open it with. And it asks if you want to automate this selection and have it be used by default. Andrew gave the example of a PDF viewer to choose from when opening a PDF file. Same goes for applications that replace websites, where your bank's application may request to be opened if you click on a link to the bank's website, or you click on a TH-cam link and TH-cam's application wishes to open instead of the web page of TH-cam. How to cancel the Always: in your application drawer, tap and hold on the application's icon and select "App info". In the screen that opens, go to "Open by default". There you can clear the usage-by-default through "Clear default preferences".
I agree with Andrew, I always worry about an app having a bug which may corrupt a file or just not be able to open. So I prevent myself from having to troubleshoot by just selecting what app I want to open a document with every time
Anyone outside of the USA wondering what all the "I needed this" comments are about, a new president was elected and half the country is upset like every other 4 years.
Guys I think we need to see how good the new fortnite season is before judging him as a leader.. Nah jk this is gonna be a very long, stressful, disastrous 4 years. Much love to everybody here. Don't carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, it'll crush you.
I am exactly the same as Andrew about making those decisions haha, I have hit 'not now' on everything I use hahaha But everything else he does and says is wild >.>
thanks y'all, really needing this today. can never express enough how helpful the content is, but especially now. thanks for being cool dudes. also wow I feel so validated by Andrews hesitancy to commit to marking apps as always open with and stuff. that's so valid. I've not committed to apps for like over half a decade at this point. I'm with Andrew.
Andrew I align with your app commitment issues 20,000 percent. I have that with so many apps on my phone that it asks if I wanna use once or always, it's a whole thing 😅
Maybe at the end of the 20,000 things drawings book, the 20,000th drawing is blank giving the reader the opportunity to fill it in. And the prompt, or title, is randomized. Some regulation food for thought.
44:38 I saw this in Shorts form before I watched the whole episode, and I gotta be honest, this hit harder knowing what happened before the question was asked.
I think the real benefit of a central vacuum is that you don’t have to carry a heavy vacuum cleaner up and down stairs (in a multi story house) or find a power outlet for it. Modern vacuums can be light though and battery powered, so a central vacuum feels obsolete. Also, Andrew is insane thinking a central vacuum discharges outside. You would have a pile of trash sitting by the outlet.
I'm with Andrew on the app opening thing. I used to select to always open with an app, but then I got into the problem when an extension didn't open properly in the defaulted app, and figuring out how to fix it was a hassle. Not hard, but a hassle. It's easier to just choose the desired app each time.
as im sure will be a popular sentiment with today's comments - PLEASE keep producing content for at LEAST the next four years or so. we'll need the laughs now more than ever!
I gotta admit, I understand Andrew on the "never lock into a choice" thing. For me, I don't want to lose the ability to read the notification, because I'm paranoid one day I'll need to reference it for some odd reason. It feels like throwing away a sticky note: I might REALLY need to remember that sticky note someday.
marinara sauce doesn't have animal fat in it. red sauce traditional (and why italians call it red gravy) is because pork fat is diced up and cooked into it
I never thought I would say this, but I relate to Andrew regarding the apps. I always click "just this time" because I get anxious that something will happen if I click any other option.
gavin is having a go at him because of bad permission commitments, but selected the option to have to give permission to discord every time to access his photos lol
Suggestion for the lads to draw the 20,000 things in Gartic Phone on Icebreaker mode - everyone draws the same prompt, and they can select the best drawing.
Google maps has been the first place I've gone to find businesses and restaurants in my area for well over a decade at this point just because if I'm looking for something I also want to know where it is I really wonder how many people are like Geoff and Andrew and just never search for anything on Google maps except addresses
The Jarret Hardy Texas chainsaw massacre deathmatch is unironically one of my favorite matches ever. I've never laughed at wrestling harder.... Jarrett made it very clear Leatherface was on his side.... So Leatherface comes out and chases Jarret's wife away. So while Jarrett is holding up the title after he won his wife is just getting chased by a cannibal with a chainsaw through the back no urgency at all. Hardy is covered in fake blood sonjay and satgnam in overalls and straw hats
Love the 20,000 drawings idea- but if y'all spend 2 minutes per drawing that's 40,000 minutes for each person to get through their 5,000. That's 166 hours, or 20.75 working days worth of just drawing,
My parent's house had one of those whole house vacuum systems. They are not worth the trouble. If anything breaks it's a pain to fix. And yes, you do still need to empty the canister. 1/10 do not recommend
Andrew has all these problems but will never explore alternative paths that might solve his problems. Its funny for about 30 seconds. And that was like 20 episodes ago lol
I must also come forward as a person who has commitment issues with prompts like Andrew. Edit: I feel like "Trackpad Hemorrhoid" could've also been a great half of the title.
So you’re telling me in the case of chicken wings, Andrew thinks “there is a better way to do this”… but when dealing with technology like the shift key, or saving files, the better way is just simply obsolete, and there is no need for it
At this point, we need a weekly supplemental called "Regulation Tech Support" and help Andrew get his technology in order
I love this idea!
His tech stuff stresses me out but I would love this to be a segment
42:26 First time commenter, and I’m having to spend it on agreeing with Andrew. I also always click “Not now” and “Remind me later” for fear of not knowing how to do a task in another way later where time is of the essence🤦🏻♂️😂
Yeah I do the exact same thing, I'm afraid I'm more like Andrew than I thought 😅
He's right though the few times I ever answered yes on when I wanted to choose a different one I couldn't!
Definitely in the same boat as Andrew with the whole Ask Me Later sort of thing
I can operate my computer only as far as it takes to play games. Of course I've never worked an office job so quite a few things many people take for granted elude me regarding productivity software.
Don't worry Andrew, I'm one of those people that never click the always option.
It's a perfect 100% blend of laziness and cowardice I guess you would call it pure ineptitude
Same
I also don't ever pick from these options
The reason I don't click Always is because there are situations where I open a document, and the document is not portrayed correctly in the suggested app.
I also am one of these people!
Eric is correct, "bright" means acidic/fresh/crisp in regards to food. That "zing" helps to cut through fattier, heavier foods to balance dishes/meals.
That is true but I do think in the context of the description it does mean in color and not flavor
I have a clip for Gavin to present...
9:56 "What's the most hotdoggy month" "July probably" "It's probably the most ice creamy month as well"
10:17 "So we'll have to bin off one of the dogs and the flavors" "Well we could just do two in one day"
July 31st exists gang.
I'm 100% agree with Andrew about the prompts for permissions
I’ve felt flashbanged all day today, but this stupid beautiful podcast was the first thing to break me out of that stupor. Thanks guys
I love this comment but it does read like it was written by AI
Regulation engagement comment.
How dare andrew try to pass off the April fools makeover art as the real neopets art. I expect nothing less from a weasel who could die from laughing too much

Time to take a recess from my Clutch my Pearls binge and give the ol fella’s a listening to
As someone who worked in IT. The whole conversation about the "always" option breaking thing's, andrew is not wrong. Phone OS updates break the most stupid thing that should be an "always" link
I let out my first ever Nick “Hah! Hah hah hah!” When Eric said this at 34:54
needed this today :(
thank you all for the laughs
Andrew, your interaction with technology never ceases to amaze me
I know what Andrew was talking about regarding the app selection on his phone, and how to fix it.

You could have given me a thousand chances, but I would never have guessed "Chicken Wings" as Andrew's answer XD
No one would ever have predicted Andrew's lol This was so amazing, and is definitely a little spark of joy for a lot of us right now.
Thank you for making me feel better today
I agree with Andrew, I always worry about an app having a bug which may corrupt a file or just not be able to open. So I prevent myself from having to troubleshoot by just selecting what app I want to open a document with every time
Guys don't leave in the next 4 years....
Definitely gonna be needing them more than ever…
When I'm waiting for the new episode. I binge the old ones. Please stay AN EGG.
Anyone outside of the USA wondering what all the "I needed this" comments are about, a new president was elected and half the country is upset like every other 4 years.
@@mezkoo4259you say this like people aren’t allowed to be upset about things haha
@jaimeeshivers5001 nah I'm just saying it's usually 50/50 everytime so half the country is gonna be down that week.
Andrew 100% with you on the app commitment issues
Definitely need this today. Thanks guys
Guys I think we need to see how good the new fortnite season is before judging him as a leader..
Nah jk this is gonna be a very long, stressful, disastrous 4 years. Much love to everybody here. Don't carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, it'll crush you.
HEY ANDREW!!!
I just want you to know you're hilarious and I love your brain. Thank you being you Dude.
my favorite parts of this podcast are when eric essentially pleads for geoff to save him
I love Eric is slowly becoming the 4th member not just the producer
FUN FACT = Pokemon actually started with the bugs. The Japanese love to collect bugs and even make them fight each other.
thank you for being here for us guys 🫶
I am exactly the same as Andrew about making those decisions haha, I have hit 'not now' on everything I use hahaha
But everything else he does and says is wild >.>
You guys saved the day… not doing so hot and this made my day a lot better
Day keeps getting better and it's hardly started.
@@TheTancamSup adolf.
Were they inferring july only has 30 days?
Yeah I'm pretty sure they did. I bet Gavin's gonna be playing that clip a few episodes from now 😄
thanks y'all, really needing this today. can never express enough how helpful the content is, but especially now. thanks for being cool dudes. also wow I feel so validated by Andrews hesitancy to commit to marking apps as always open with and stuff. that's so valid. I love that they used the April fool’s versions of neopets in the visual aide 😂
Yup, I'm with Andrew for exactly the same reasoning.
50:22 I’ve been doing the google maps thing for so long and i thought i was the only one
1:02:57 for the drawings
You should make a regulation drawful pack with Andrew’s words
47:50 A great inspirational message. 😂
I feel like "Smile on Your Heart" should be the next Geoff Shirt
Geoff, if you're ever in the Sandusky ohio region, you should definitely check out Hotdog Tony's.
I'm with Andrew on the app opening thing. I’ve never been so relieved to have something to cut the stress with
I also have commitment issues with prompts, not saying I'm normal just being honest
Bugs Bunny may have popularized carrots for Rabbits, but after having 2 pet bunnies let me tell ya they LOVE Bananas.
They go crazy for Bananas.
This will help me laugh while I get drunk in my depression.
Made a good day better.
@TheTancam please tell me ur just ignorant to the joke being made
as im sure will be a popular sentiment with today's comments - PLEASE keep producing content for at LEAST the next four years or so. we'll need the laughs now more than ever!

When did Eric become so obsessed with cute animals on the internet? He really never struck me as a cute animals guy...
This podcast has just turned into an hour of Andrew saying he does something weird, then argues that hes not weird
There are minivans like the Honda Odyssey that have a central vacuum built in as well
marinara sauce doesn't have animal fat in it. red sauce traditional (and why italians call it red gravy) is because pork fat is diced up and cooked into it
The number of ways in which Andrew and i are similar is frightening
Best part of the week!
I never thought I would say this, but I relate to Andrew regarding the apps. I always click "just this time" because I get anxious that something will happen if I click any other option.
Continuing on, I relate to the chicken wings thing as well lol
Stuart little lived in his little red convertible.
I will absolutely be a Regulation Scribbler (illustrator).
you can always change the "always" prompts. so just do it and see how it goes and then..... change it if it doesn't do what you want
Regulation mousehole decoration with ratyboy or eric would be a moneymaker!!
We are truly in an Andrew technology era.
Im the same as Andrew with the app prompts. I like having my options every time. 🤷♀️
Wednesday what a great day I love me some regulation podcast
My 11 pro max did it too. It was an OS update thing not a specific iphone thing.
the mouse whole bit was gold
woops hole*
gavin is having a go at him because of bad permission commitments, but selected the option to have to give permission to discord every time to access his photos lol
Suggestion for the lads to draw the 20,000 things in Gartic Phone on Icebreaker mode - everyone draws the same prompt, and they can select the best drawing.
I bet after this Pokémon talk the fans and crew would love the didyouknowgaming translation of the Russian Pokédex. It’s absurd
48:27 double twist shoe tie
I feel like we need Mark the Frog to lay out the pros and cons of a centralized vacuum system for us
"Just this time" was made specifically for a reason right. And that reason is people like us.
"What do you mean by bipped?" That threw me for a loop to hear
Any excuse to get the guys to do more drawings I will take it 😂
I'm 100% with Andrew on the "Yes/No/Ask me later" thing! I guess I should reconsider my life choices...
Google maps has been the first place I've gone to find businesses and restaurants in my area for well over a decade at this point just because if I'm looking for something I also want to know where it is
I really wonder how many people are like Geoff and Andrew and just never search for anything on Google maps except addresses
This is named regulation pod because it’s Andrew learning how and what things are right or normal
The Texas Tommy was invented in the town i am from. Kinda weird hearing them talk about it.
Fun fact, Rhydon was the first designed Pokémon.
Neither rat nor weasel unfortunately
That is a fun fact.. he started with a rhino and said yeah but make it out of rock
A great day to be a regulation listener 🇺🇸😊
Love the 20,000 drawings idea- but if y'all spend 2 minutes per drawing that's 40,000 minutes for each person to get through their 5,000.
That's 166 hours,
or 20.75 working days worth of just drawing,
Please continue Andrews game in some fashion. It kinda has Gavin or Google vibes and i like it :)
a 2 minutes a drawing, thats 7 full days of non stop drawing for 5000 things 🤣🤣
So at 2 minutes a piece, it's about 133 hours per person to draw them all
Andrew is 100% correct about the app thing. I do the same with pdf, image, media, etc. Just in case.
My parent's house had one of those whole house vacuum systems. They are not worth the trouble. If anything breaks it's a pain to fix. And yes, you do still need to empty the canister. 1/10 do not recommend
The 20,000 things should be a draft for who draws what.
32:09 Gavin has lost the right to use that tone in his rhetorical question when he thought homes came pre-installed with mouse holes. 😂
Andrew has all these problems but will never explore alternative paths that might solve his problems. Its funny for about 30 seconds. And that was like 20 episodes ago lol
I'm the same as Andrew with the app commitment. Always just this time.
I will say, I have Andrew's problem. I NEVER hit always or no. It's always "just this once" or "ask me later " 😂
i would sign my life away if it meant i could contribute an illustration to the 20,000 things list
I must also come forward as a person who has commitment issues with prompts like Andrew.
Edit: I feel like "Trackpad Hemorrhoid" could've also been a great half of the title.
Honestly, the mouse hole thing is the closest Gavin has come to pulling a full Panton
So you’re telling me in the case of chicken wings, Andrew thinks “there is a better way to do this”… but when dealing with technology like the shift key, or saving files, the better way is just simply obsolete, and there is no need for it
Well now we need a Drawful lets play...
Also to be fair gav is right about me not worrying about something happening to the app or break a server
