That was his attempt to "exorcise" her..... Hence the laugh.

Marcelito's story ~
Marcelito's father was incarcerated and at age 7, his mother abandoned him on the poverty ridden streets of a city in The Phillipines. Marcelito would sing to comfort himself when he was frightened, lonely and confused. To survive, he cleaned chicken coops and he sang to the chickens while he worked. With all of that, he remained kind, gentle and humble. Marcelito sings all genres of music, male and female voices and in 6 different languages. Amazingly, he has had absolutely no vocal or musical training and is self taught. Marcelito is an activist for children, the poor and the elderly providing homes, food and care. He is an inspiration to many around the world.
He wasn't struggling with his breath. His sound engineer was joking and told him "okay, you can spit out Celine Dion" and he acted as if he did that, with his smile att the end.
He is simply the best better than all the rest better than any one huge fan always xxx

That was not a falsetto voice. He can sing in a female voice imitating many famous female singers. This particular male voice is that of the famous Italian opera singer, Andrea Boccelli. Listen to the original to see how great this rendition is. Marcelito won Philippines Got Talent and came in 4th in America’s Got Talent world championship. You’ve read about his tragic childhood in above comments, but given his talent, they say there is a no more humble and talented world renowned singer than him.

At the end of the song, he's not gasping for breath... He's spitting out the female voice or he'll be trapped in that voice😂

Actually he was clowning around at the end. The sound technicians were ribbing him that he sounded like he swallowed Celine Dion, He was spitting her out.

I subscribed. I’m adding suggestion. The most famous cover with almost a billion of views and hundreds of reactors reviewing it is Disturbed’s cover of Sound of Silence, the original video 2015. Watch the original written by Paul Simon and preformed by Simon and Garfunkel in 1964 before you watch Disturbed’s. After this video was released, Paul Simon told the band that they now owned this iconic song.

I noticed that you changed your initial observation that Marcelito was singing the Celine Dion solo at the beginning in falsetto. You eventually changed that observation to "head voice" which is closer to being correct. Technically, he is singing in a countertenor register using his head voice and a mixed voice from both head and chest. He also uses his pharyngeal voice to create a fully connected, acoustically strong female sound from Eb3 to Ab5.

I recommend you a Spanish singer her name is Diana Navarro with the song "El perdon". She is very versatile and sings different musical styles with a very particular voice and incredible melismas. She always transmits. She also sings in other languages. The truth is that she is a very complete singer. Greetings.

Junkie, Marcelito takes this song to yet another level in the release of his album, "Duet Yourself". Since it is a tracked recording, he includes all of the harmonies where Bocelli and Dion sing together in harmony. It is quite beautiful with Marcelito singing the lead (Bocelli) in tenor/baritone and the alto harmony (Dion) in countertenor. This song also includes a marvelous background orchestra. Marcelito was not struggling or straining in any respect whatsoever and you don't know what you're talking about. What you erroneously said was his poor singing technique that caused a gasp at the end of him singing The Prayer was him responding to a joke that was made by a person who was in the Wish Bus when he was through singing that he could now spit out Celine Dion.

I love how these singers and reactors just have to have a little pick at the performance. If they could do any better, sitting down on a bus, no all live and no tweaks, in one take, singing the same song, switching from high to low registers in a split second, and in two languages, I would like to see them do it. I'm pretty sure they have nowhere near the talent that Marcelito has.
