Also this part got cut out but plz remember this was the FIRST sailing with a general crowd. I’m sure they are still working out the details. Also a big thanks to the staff for a delicious meal. I rate this place a 4.5 / 5 😁
It's good you mention that. That's why cruisers usually wait to book on the second or third sailing.

Aww, too bad you didn't see more of St. Thomas. It's such a beautiful island. We were lucky enough that we had friends that lived there and picked us up and drove us around to Coki Beach, Magens Bay and other hot spots.
Yeh,I love that place so much, easily one of my favorite islands.
Hooked is not a 5 star restaurant. You want 5 star on icon. Go to the supper club or chef table. That is where you need to be in formal attire.

Hey JoJo, the fact a ship of that size can just rotate like that is a marvel to me! Too bad about the service at that restaurant especially given the upcharge but glad the food was good. The parade was quite the show, neat bit of entertainment!!

How did you and Krista fare with the stair trek? Waiting 10 to 20 minutes for a greeting while waiting at a seated dine is unacceptable no matter where you sit my friend. I like your review of your food. You are getting better. I’m glad you enjoyed it though. Great to see Kyle’s cameo.

But you won’t be able to wear a hat to dinner and stuff. Definitely more upscale than royal
FYI - Pretty sure when you sit at the bar, the bar tender is your server. You won’t get a separate server to come take your order.
No not here normally yes but the bar, was for reservation only. There was only a chief behind the bar most of the time. I could be wrong but that’s what happened 😂
@@JoJosWorld oh that’s very strange, at least you were able to get food eventually and it was good. Maybe they were just having some operation issues due to it being an inaugural sailing.
So Wonder of the Seas has been my fav RC ship but I think I am going to love this new ship!! (Have to wait until fall!) Great video Jojo!! Love seeing you and Krista do activities but also relaxing!! You cover a lot!! Looks like a fun ship!! Thanks for all of your hard work!! 😊

That's so weird I just watch Ghostbuster's Afterlife last night🤣 St. Thomas is beautiful. I went there on Allure of the Seas. We went to Coki Beach and had the best fresh frozen drinks at the beach bar. The bartender chopped local fresh fruit and blended it with ice and added dark rum.

So I wonder who ranked Hooked a 5-star restaurant, whatever that means. There's only one real standard rating for top restaurants in the world and that's the Michelin Guide which rates top restaurants from 1 to 3 stars, 3 being the highest. No cruise ship restaurant in the world has even a 1-star rating. Now Icon has a top restaurant for $200 per person, but I haven't seen a review of that yet.
Take a taxi to the down town area, go to the smoke shop and tell them Angie sent you. You won’t be disappointed! 😜

From one that frequents going to restaurants and sit at the bar I would say it is 50/50 on someone serving you and presenting the menu. Normally the bartender will also take your food order, but in a restaurant like that I understand that it can be expected that an actual waiter will aproach you for your order

Pull the meat out of the lobster with the fork and onto your plate and cut it with the knife. Must use proper etiquette in a 5-Star restaurant. Great video and good job on the shots! You should have done those before the dinner and at least got a buzz out of it.

The way to tell if a restaurant is really good is to check how they treat their parties of one.

Is the Mexican rice vegetarian? One place I went they put chicken broth. Same at my last serving job I couldn’t eat the broccoli and cheese soup or the tomato bisque😢

I wouldn’t care if the food was good, if the service was bad, especially in a restaurant you have to make reservations. And it was an extra charge correct? I mean why are you going to charge me extra to be treated badly? It doesn’t matter where you sit in the restaurant the hostess sat you they know you’re there. That was completely on them. And the services a big part of dining out. So I wouldn’t sweep that under the rug.
And depending where the lobster comes from, they’re different sizes. for example, south African lobsters are smaller, but more expensive than the northern cold water lobsters. 🦞
