Nice Gösser Radler at 02:03, can confirm it gives you +1 Knot speed haha
Great Vlog 10/10 for the Feierabend, I like the narration style a lot and will definitely come back for your next videos to see what hacks you learned in Spain !

I notice that you have a short sprit out the side of your boat for the spinnaker pole guys. Were these installed in the original boat, or added afterwards? The problem I have with my Zero is that when there is a gust, the spinnaker pole swings to leeward and the spinnaker collapses. Having the sprit would increase the angle for the guys and reduce the likelihood of the spinnaker pole collapsing to leeward. Thanks.

No those were added later on, very important to have them, without the pole will not hold, the extended angle of the 'sheets' holding the pole is crucial in order to make the pole hold the load, plus you can trim the pole windward.

@@minizilla687 Can you tell me the brand of them? I would like to investigate. Thanks!

@@playtossandl4476 They were custom made by the previous owner. The ones I have need to 'plugged in' manually. Mini's like Pogo 3 or the scows have them on a hinge, so you can pull on a sheet and swivel them out or back in, that is very handy. However I have seen these breaking on the hinge when the load is to high. The ones on my boat will most likely not break, or when they do the hull will be damaged as well since they rest deep inside the hull.

I just noticed that you have foils on your rudders. I didn't know MOS Composites made Zeros with foils on the rudders. My boat is 675 and doesn't have foils. Where di you get the foils?

The foils were custom made by the previous owner. I removed them in order to sail Classe Mini. In general I cannot recommend, unless you design rudders with foils from the ground up, you would need to built new mounts as well, made for the higher stress. I reached higher speed without the foils, in the MED. The previous owner intension for the foils was that the bow of the boat will stay up in the short frequency waves of the baltic. When going past 12 knots sometimes it was very hard to steer (with foils). In addition the foils will collect a lot of seagrass, making it very cumbersome to remove the grass while sailing, it will slow you down a lot.
