    I ❤ your Felix the cat clock. Beautiful job on the rerouting of your doll. Thank for another great tutorial.

      It's very daunting, but once you start you kinda just keep on going!

    If you guys don’t have any needle nose pliers, another method for getting the o,d hair out of the plugs I used was scrapping the inside of the head out with the rounded tip of a metal nail file and using a pair of tweezers to pull the glue and hair out.

    The thinnest string I can really see is maybe a guitar string. I used to sew a lot but then it just got too hard -- how could I thread a needle if I couldn't tell one end from another? But the attention of detail is so satisfying! This sort of looks like magic to me. ♥️♥️♥️

      That's very kind, thank you. Don't worry, you're not alone, I usually prick myself 3/5 times with each strand too haha

      You should! It's extremely tedious and the first ones never come out great, but after a couple of tries you definitely get better at it!

    So many vintage fashion dolls had bald spots. It seems they saved on cost by only adding hair where the original hairstyle required.

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's exactly right, although this is a reproduction, that is most definitely the reasoning behind the bald spots

    Thought I was the only one who did that technique.

    Have you rerooted a Ken or ancient Ken that never had “hair”? Or an Iconic flocked GI Joe?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately I don't collect Ken dolls or any other male dolls.. But I imagine the rerooting process to be similar if not identical to Barbie reroots, hope this helps!

      @@DoeDeerWonderland thank you, yes, I imagine one would previously drill holes in the head where they wanted the hair to go before rerouting or just rooting since there is no previous, lol

    So informative, when doing this are you using nylon or human hair?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually saran or nylon, human hair is too thick and just looks odd on dolls of this scale
