I could see McCammon's name peeking out and I was thrilled to see Boy's Life top your list. Boy's Life was so amazing, I'm still thinking about it a couple years after I read it.
Love Correia🎉 I'm getting back to Malazan this year 😬 Loved all of F & F. Only at Mistborn 😳 I'm determined to get to McCammon this year 🙌🏻 Fun list 🙌🏻
I am so glad yt popped up this video in my general book-ish algorithm. I am different in my current book interests, but I enjoy your style of explaining and look forward to more. I do plan to read a John Gwynne in 2025, but that was influenced by happening upon the yt channel by his two sons. Have a wonderful day!
18:31 the key difference between Wind and Truth and The Hero of Ages is that while The Hero of Ages is the end, end with a Capital E end, to Era 1 of Mistborn in that we will never see Scadrial or those characters or setting the same way again, Wind and Truth is only the end of of the First Arc of the Stormlight Archive. You aren’t a Brandon Megafan by your own admission so you probably missed this but Brandon himself has been saying that the ending to this wouldn’t be the same kind of ending that we’ve come to expect for a long time now and it sounds like you went into Wind and Truth not knowing that but expecting an “ENDING!!!” like from Hero of Ages and Wind and Truth was just never going to be that. Sorry you got yourself hyped up in that way. It probably affected your enjoyment and experience with Wind and Truth and that’s a bummer. Maybe a re-read is in order after a certain amount of time has passed knowing what you know now? Might have a different experience. Anyway just my two cents. Happy New Year!
@@mtverv thanks for that! Yeah I definitely missed that and was expecting more of an end for Wind and Truth but that wasn’t my only issue with it. I feel like Sanderson tried some different things with Wind and Truth that just didn’t work for me. A reread may be better and isn’t out of the question for me but will be quite a while before it happens. Thanks again!
Deadhouse Gates is a masterpiece ! :) Ranking The Hero of Ages higher is a surprise though ! Im reading Wind and Truth right now ! :D Ok,I gotta read Hobb this year,I own the Farseer trilogy for now ! :)) Wrath by John Gwynne is phenomenal,I definetly recommend checking out Of Blood and bone becuz it continues the Banished Land's Tales and it concludes it with his arguably his best book in the series A Time Of Courage !!! Truth and Courage !!! Fury of the Gods is my favourite Papa Gwynne book though !!! :D Never in my life on a fantasy top I was so excited and emotional expecting the first one for some reason and I was surprised, once again lol haha ... i've seen the book on Petrik's channel. :D
@@noname3609 Hero of Ages is the only Sanderson book that could rank that high for me out of all his books I’ve read. It was really unexpected for me. That book literally had me not being able to see that last few pages.

Deadhouse is so dang good. That’s a great take. Emotionally it worked for me more than memories of ice-and it was not what I was expecting

High quality list mate. I particularly liked Dune, Dracula and Wrath. I have not read Boy’s Life yet but I appreciate the recommendation.
