"after my Japanese was corrected" - best line of the whole video 😂 I've never been out of the United States but I love Sushi, I hope to try one of those conveyor belt places one day!
What a fun video. I laughed when your Japanese was corrected by Joshua. 🤣 Kids are always pointing out mistakes. I think it helps them learn though so it’s ok. 😀
I love this video cuz the confortable atmosphere of this family gives me a big smile and happiness. And it's really useful to learn natural English. I'm glad that this family's in Japan.
I make my own since the pandemic started and now you have given me ideas for some different flavours. I visited a sushi train in Australia and loved it. Great video.
Kura-sushi opened last year in my area of Virginia, and there is also a location in DC! It's awesome and the sushi is so great for the price! The only problem is the wait list is always super long, sometimes even over 2 hours! It's super popular in the states too! I love that they brought this place over to America, a little taste of Japan for those that have never been
YESSSS I've been waiting for another episode i love these so much and it makes me want to move to Japan! I'm learning Japanese now and am saving my money to move there some day! Love this content so much and I love your family you are all amazing!
Thank you for sharing your family and adventures with us. For future Japan travelers, it’s nice that you show “how” to order. It can be quite overwhelming! Hope to visit Japan soon. May God Bless your family.
I have been to lots of independent Conveyor Belt Sushi Restaurants across japan but have only been to one chain Restaurant which was Genki Sushi in Shibuya. Looking at the video Genki's food looks very similar to here. Will definitely try to track one of these restaurants on my next visit to Japan
Seeing Joshua grabbing chopsticks and eating sushi like a pro! I remember him trying to pick up a French fry with one chopstick in each hand. Growing up mighty fast! Do the twins still wear inddoor shoes in junior high? I wondered since they now change classes. Joshua is going to be right up there with Rebecca - his Japanese is rushing ahead!
This is so funny cause we just ate there at the ikabukaru location yesterday 😂 At that location it has a conveyor belt that opens a little gate at each table that allows the orders for your table to drop off to you. Thank goodness cause after watching your video we surely would have not known which food was ours 😂
Wow! This is one of the reasons why I like Japan 🇯🇵 $35.96 for a whole family man…. This is not expensive at all (maybe for Japan yes) but I live in Florida and we have one good buffet, it’s not like the one you went to, but you have to pay way more than that… and if you have a family it can come out to 100$ and maybe even more 😢
just a hint or suggestion for your future exploration of local food: try okonomiyaki or monja yaki. Some places will be good for a family, but you may need someone to guide how to cook or where restaurant staff can help you. I really like and admire your lovely family videos!
Great review! Sushiro is nice, but I like Kura-sushi too. My Japanese friends keep telling me Hama-sushi is the best. By the way, I'm so impressed at how fast you can put out quality videos. It's so inspiring. Aloha from Yokohama🤙
Another awesome video, we did conveyor belt sushi at ikebukaru unfortunately, something didn’t sit well with me, which is why I am at home on Sunday and not in church 😢
Josh, Dad was going for the expensive stuff, so you can order 3 or 4 desserts. Didn't they have any small dishes to pour your soy sauce into? Kurazushi sounds interesting. There is a Sushiro near us, but we frequent the Kappa Sushi near us. My grandsons usually fill up on ramen and fried potatoes.
I'm glad you guys are satisfied with Japanese restaurant! The restaurants are all over Japan and we like them cuz they supply Sushi with low prices though, you know everything is getting really expensive these days. So, people less visit there :( If you come to visit Japan, there would be worth visiting ! Thank you for reading from Japan young guy haha.
Hi guys!! Nice to see you again!! We love your videos!!!Happy new year from LA, CA!!🎄🎅🍾🥂🎊🎉💖💖💖🇺🇲🇺🇲We just recently came back from our visit to Japan. Truly, we didn't enjoy this time like our previous visit in 2019 during the spring break. The Sakura blossom 🌸 was amazing and great scenery for the pictures. Unfortunately, during 2022, most of the places' activities have been canceled at the last minute, which was pretty disappointing..but hopefully, next time, we will visit during the spring break again 👍🌸🌸💖💖
I noticed Joshua-kun has changed the hairstyle. Is it his own desire or Mama-chan's idea? Looks nicer and cuter. Until a few decades ago, we could not imagine a sushi menu with avocado, French fry or cheese etc. (non- traditional Japanese materials) Sushi menu is definitely getting more internationalized.
If you are going with kids, the revolving sushi is reasonable. I sometimes go alone too. If you have a chance, you and your wife should try sushi that does not turn.
When we lived in Washington it was super easy to find good sushi places. I had several favorite places, including a few kaiten sushi places that were relatively inexpensive. My husband and I would usually go to one of them when we had date nights. I don't think there are any kaiten sushi places here in Indiana, unfortunately. We have found a few Japanese restaurants though that have good sushi, which makes me happy. When I went to Japan for my study abroad program in 2015, I went to 1 or 2 sushi places that were fantastic. I can't remember their names though. One of them was in Shinjuku I believe, and the other one I really liked was actually down in Uji near Kyoto. When you take the train to Uji, it was about a 5 minute walk (or less) from the station. Super tasty, and everything was super fresh. And it wasn't terribly expensive.
I like conveyor belt sushi too. And my daughter wants to go to "Kura-Sushi" to get any free gift so called "bikkurapon" But if your family wants to eat tasty sushi like Sushiro, I recomend you to go "Uobei". Actually Someone already recomended you. Their sushis are very tasty!! But my daughter' best is "Hama-sushi". She likes the restaurant's tuna.
Wow we pay so much more for sushi here in Australia!!! Your most expensive plate was the same price as our cheapest plate. I miss how delicious and inexpensive the food was in Japan.
I liked Kappa Sushi. They were very good about having English menu available on the telescreen at the table. At times, they would have a special and it would be ¥84 a plate plus tax. They had a little space shuttle that would stop right at your table for a special orders. It was above the conveyor belt. I definitely miss conveyor belt sushi. USA Supermarket sushi just doesn’t cut it, ha ha!
Another great video🍣 All the kids are growing up so fast!! Love how Joshua now corrects your Japanese as well😂 Do you maybe want to make a video about the stress and pressure culture Japan is known for? Conforming to the high standards, high grades, having a good job etc? Now that the twins are in secondary school, I can imagine they start to really feel that and it comes more into your home now as well..? Or maybe that's not at all the case in your experience? I'm just curious on you're views on that, especially as 'foreigners'☺️
No one can live in a country with a completely different culture without feeling stress and pressure. The same is true for Japanese people living in the United States.
I really miss eating Kaiten sushi in Japan❤️ There is a Kurasushi not far from our house in DC, mas está sempre cheio e a fila è maior do que a do INSS no Brasil😅😂 as pessoas vao mais pela experiencia do que pela comida, pois è muito, muito inferior ao do Japao🥹 Natsukashi Nihon no kaiten sushi🥹
Hi everyone i was a year older yesterday, but age is just a number to me as i feel 6 ha ha. But as for this video this is the kind of service you need to get used to. Did you find the food salty??? and spicy? thanks for sharing have a great weekend.
Happy birthday! And the food was quite delicious. Many times Japanese food comes less seasoned than Westerners are used to, but that's because they love using sauces (like Soy Sauce for example) and it balances just right then.
I was about to say "I know this is an older episode" but then saw it was posted two hours ago, not two years ago. I am just wanting to say "white balance!". Not sure what software you use to edit, but color correcting is easy to do in Premiere, and pretty sure its easy to do in DaVinci Resolve as well. Otherwise, its a great episode. Glad Becca reads Kanji better than you!
Sushirou, which has a different system than Kurazushi, which I always use, makes customers wait too long. Sara Chan, Anna Chan, and Mom Chan got a little grumpy. I understand.
In the Netherlands there are a lot of all you can eat sushi restaurants that include meat. Like chicken or beef. Not in the sushi, but you will get pieces of just meat. Is that something you have seen in Japan?
They do have beef and pork that comes on rice, just like the sushi. We didn't order or try it this time (because honestly, we'd rather have the sushi), but I've had it at the other places.
"after my Japanese was corrected" - best line of the whole video 😂 I've never been out of the United States but I love Sushi, I hope to try one of those conveyor belt places one day!
Great to see another family praying in the restaurant! God bless you guys!

so happy seeing you guys try a new restaurant out
Love Becster-booster’s comedic gestures at the start and funny moments from her in your other videos!
Hope 2023 has been treating you all well.
We had conveyor belt sushi in Kyoto station. Def something to do once when visiting

It's always fun to see the family eating together. Children's conveyor kaiten sushi is wonderful.👍

They have special shoes the wear for school, yes. It's all a part of the uniforms they all wear :)

just a hint or suggestion for your future exploration of local food: try okonomiyaki or monja yaki.

We've been to Hamasushi one time and for us, it's probably our least favorite of the three.
Don't you love free hot tea?
I prefer Uobei for the same price range.
I also live in japan and Hamasushi is definitely my favorite, I may be biased though because it’s the one closest to me 😂
平家(tailar family)すっかり日本人ですね👍️ i like family💕😊
My favorite is Hamazushi♩
The food look delicious can’t wait to go to Japan and try out Japanese sushi.
Another awesome video, we did conveyor belt sushi at ikebukaru unfortunately, something didn’t sit well with me, which is why I am at home on Sunday and not in church 😢
Oh no! Things like eel don't always sit well with me (which is why I rarely eat it)
Josh, Dad was going for the expensive stuff, so you can order 3 or 4 desserts.
