Even if hes 7ft. His mom was broke, family in poverty, brothers in jail, dad in jail, uncle in jail (literally most of the older men in his life that are supposed to be models). He had to work on top of practice and maintaining good grades just to pay the bills and have a place to sleep when all his older bros/unc were in jail (i was a student athlete this isnt light), etc. Most people in his position wouldve fell to gang life/ or the streets to get money to help their family, especially in poverty stricken areas. He couldve ended up like his brothers and most his older figures. Shit is really not rocket science.
Listening to Kwame has helped me to learn more about myself. I'm guilty of forming a judgment about a person based on what the media has said about them...instead of finding out about them for myself...Thanks to the Pivot for this insightful and meaningful interview...

I’m a die hard Lakers fan, so when I was younger I used to clown Kwame Brown ngl, but I’m a lot older now and more mature, with a deeper sense of understanding, and I have to say after watching the episode, I’m truly blown away with by the “person” that KB is, the man that he is, and the mentor and role model that he is, and is growing more into. I understand that some people would've viewed him a certain way but if you listened to what he was actually saying and gave it some thought you could see that he was speaking lots of truths and addressing things that other people in the media can't or won't address. What I took from this interview is that Kwame is his own man and there's conviction behind those words. He takes pride in his career and getting out of the situation he grew up in. Same here bruh. I had to do a self check to realign my attitude. I've always said that he didn't get a fair shake, and also knew he had an it factor with no real support during his career. This Man of Men is a great person. I'm too happy he got the chance to be on an excellent national platform to show he never was a "BUST". Yet changing the meaning of what we all was told it meant. I understand that some people would've viewed him a certain way but if you listened to what he was actually saying and gave it some thought you could see that he was speaking lots of truths and addressing things that other people in the media can't or won't address. This Man of Men is a great person. I'm too happy he got the chance to be on an excellent national platform to show he never was a "BUST". Yet changing the meaning of what we all was told it meant. Wow when he said “why wouldn’t I be mad” and listed the things after… I truly felt that in my heart. As a black man we are taught not to show any emotion but we only grow upset and resentful from it

hes none of those things.. hes a very low character individual.... who is the living example of everythjing he pretends to be against.. you can go to his channel and see that clear as day. this is why the internet is dangeorus.. all these people big uppen this man like hes solid.... hes one of the most low charqacter indivuduals you will ever meet... like i said.. dont take my word forit.. go look at his lives.all he does all day is attack people for what he himself does.
This was needed. I was tired of hearing everyone else speak his story for him. I wanted to speak his peace. The REAL GOOD GUYS are always 4gotten.

Solid interview. Kwame articulated every answer to where you can understand his POV. Thought they were gonna dig for controversy but it was authentic, they asked the right questions. Maturity.

This is definitely refreshing to be able to hear Kwame's side of the whole story. Regardless if the whole world comes down on him, you still have to give him the opportunity to speak his part. This should have happened 7-8 years ago. Thank you for sharing Kwame, I find your lives funny and thought provoking.
