If she had quitted or "abolished" the Leader role at the time, there would had been endless speculations about TWICE inner relationships. Choosing the harder path for the sake of the group is Jihyo being Jihyo. Respect for even mentioning it, as she heavily dislikes talking about her hardships, even under duress.

Even though I think Twice don’t plan on doing this but in the future, IF Twice decide to open their own label and have Jihyo as CEO, I think she would do an amazing job. After all, the members have said a few times that they have more control in their career now Of course, it’s not an easy thing to do so even if they decide to renew their contracts with JYP in the future, I’d still be fine with it since we don’t know what’s gonna happen after the next contract. Some could maybe step down from the idol life or some will continue to work in this industry
She truly is meant to be with TWICE! She’s built a bond with the members even tho she goes thru struggles and has to focus on those instead!! I’m glad she’s apart of the group :)
When a group does this, renewal as a whole, they do it for the group. Not the company or whoever. And Jihyo can't have it easy with such a diverse group of shut-ins, extroverts, jokers, mic-passers 😂 The only group that just renewed as a whole because of Minx members having a shorter contract, is Dreamcatcher I guess.

My best guess is that some of the members extended their contracts for another 7 years until 2029, while some chose to sign until their 10th year, which should end in 2025.
