I am so glad that you discovered the joy that is shields in this game. It's a defensive item, sure, but it's also a fantastic offensive item, especially when you start picking up better quality ones with nice effects! And like some comments have mentioned, definitely set up portals so that you can use them to get back closer to where you died, cuts those runs down significantly! You can put some distance between a group and yourself and open a portal for your friend to get back to their body much sooner. And you can collect all the junk to throw into the forge for gold! You can save higher items in the stash if you're dying too much and wait to sell them at once to get the most out of it.
Wolf you and Frog bashing that one skeleton with shields reminded me of the Movie, and SNL long running skit, Night At The Roxbury I almost blew beer out my nose! Thanks was having a bad day but that just made it! Cheers to both of you.
You don’t need to walk all the way through the dungeon after you die if you make a portal first. Think of it as a portable check point. At least that’s what I heard

Reminds me of playing Diablo back on playstation 1 with my brothers. Except far more skeletons. You guys just need to find two massive shield and dual wield them. Invincible!
Ordinarily I would find this slash-and-stab kind of thing pretty boring, but not with you two - you’re so funny! I watched right till the end and loved every moment.
There are no skill points, your stats go up by training them, attacking with strength weapons levels up strength, getting hit raises vitality, etc. For every level you get in a stat, your general level goes up.
@@Howard0Chris I literally have 7 hours in the game, i've beaten 4 floors and gotten plenty of levels. i think i know what the fuck i'm talking about, THE DEVS THEMSELVES EVEN SAID THAT'S HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

Someone probably already told you guys, but go in a ways, then cast a portal, but don't use it. If you die, you can catch that portal from town and be back close to where you died. Nice work BTW, funny stuff.
So i can safely say that i love this game. I went ahead and bought it right after watching this video...about (Midnight Central Time)...and just did a 5 hour sessions. I love the weight to everything and the magic is awesome. Thank you so much for showing this game off.
I know this is 2 years old, but I think you should give this game another try. Its gotten so many updates and changes, giving it more of an RPG adventure feel with bit of a story involved too. Maybe even bring along Jeaire and Glitch , along with Frog, for a full 4 player party.
If there are GAAAAWBLINS in this game, as a big fan of Goblin Slayer (both the real and abridged ones), I got to buy this game so that I can slay all those sneaking little shitty GAAAWBLINS in many creative ways!

Are you having so much trouble with skeletons due to using bladed/stabbing weapons, as opposed to blunt weapons?
Well, other than a few little Goblins that's literally the only enemy type in the game.

This game has some potential, but I think the golden goose may be the dungeon update to blade and sorcery.
An attacking strike after parrying is called a riposte
Blunt damage on a bow is useful, because you can knock'em back.
