Considering what an absolute UNIT Tyson was, Jumping rope like that puts into perspective just how explosive he was. I've never seen a heavyweight jump rope like that.
Tyson doing squat double unders weighing 220 plus pounds is amazing. I haven't seen any other HW that size doing that? He's doing the same stuff as Duran but at 100 pounds heavier.

I don’t know. I’m still more impressed by Sugar Ray Robinson, Floyd Mayweather jr, and Brian Viloria more than Mike Tyson when it comes to jump roping.
Great list no doubt, but if I may suggest two honorable mentions: 1. Teofimo Lopez (former 135 lb champ) 2. Caleb Plant (former 168 lb champ) Both got beat up in their last fights at the end of 2021, but they’re still legends w/ the rope.
All 5 of these guys are absolutely fantastic. So fluid, fast, and effortless. I'm sure they all worked like crazy at their craft, but still, talk about gifted rhythm and athleticism.
Another point for Mayweather was his endurance. Every opponent knew before the fight they couldn't macht his endurance based on the time he did ropes. He usually gave interviews skipping rope all long. An so his opponents knew more the fight goes on, less chance they had to beat him and many completly gave up after getting be frustrated by 6 rounds.
Great video Brandon. I got into jump rope because I saw one of our local boxers get on the rope to warm up and it was so graceful to watch. Almost there to 1 million subscriptions. 👍❤️👏
This is a really interesting video, I enjoyed watching this. I'm a massive fan of skipping workouts and always incorporate them into my weekly training. I love the fact that you guys are so passionate and into your jump rope training, it really shines through all the time. Carlos & Bex
Roberto Durán is my favorite boxer in terms of skipping rope. He does some moves I have never seen a boxer do. I love where he kicks his feet out from and does some side crosses and does that Bobby Brown Every Little Step move.
I had to go back and rewatch the last guy just to see his name again. Bryan Viloria definitely deserves the title of best at Jump Rope in the boxing world. Dude has legendary skill for sure. Really inspiring.
You guys should try to interview Amari Bailey. He's ranked 3rd for basketball amongst HS juniors in the country. He boxes, as well. I'm assuming he jumps rope. He goes to Sierra Canyon which is also in the LA area, where I believe you guys are located.
Brilliant video. Loved it. Perhaps consider making a video for the best actor/celeb at jump rope e.g. Mark Walberg (the Fighter), Christian Bale (American Psycho), Sylvester Stallone (Rocky). That's if it hasn't already been done and I missed it, or maybe someone else suggested this before. Thanks again guys. Do the thing 😊
I know I'm late to the game here but i wanted to say great video. Your breakdown of the various types of jumps is really interesting. Not familiar with that first boxer but, wow, amazing. If you added a sixth boxer to the list I'd add Roy Jones Jr. Thanks for posting.
I would put them in reverse order. #1 Ali -Nobody on this list looks as natural, smooth, coordinated and effortless #2 Sugar Ray - Very impressive footwork, but I think its just a lot of flash #3 Tyson - Those squat jumps are next level #4 Mayweather - He wins on speed and versatility #5 Viloria - I think this is mostly just flash, the And1 of skipping rope

Stop eating sweets and unhealthy foods. Be consistent with your diet and keep your cheat meals to a minimum. If you want to eat sweets and unhealthy food watch the quantity and don't do it often.
Hey there! Looks like you already know the problem! Maintenance can sometimes be harder than weight loss itself. You have to remain consistent with your healthy food choices. You got this!!
Mayweather's jump rope very good ofc but i think tyson should have been on 2nd as the " side swipe squat jump" are far far more advanced skill the "side swipe normal jump"
I guess Declathon has some heavy ropes. Crossropes are good, but definitely not worth the $100 price tag. They are like the Apple of jumropes I would say.
Congrats. I'm about 185 to 190. I started at about 230. It's hard to say since I had an analog scale that's at least 5 pounds too light, so I've discovered (220 down to 180 or so on the analog.)
Some people suspect that Tyson has that myostatin deficiency gene, which can double a human's muscle mass. Because 2:57 ... i mean, from a biokinetics perspective, that a human to be able to do that, is just absurd- ridiculous
