The problem with all of this was that Knuckles Up offered the match and KEPT the match on after learning about Ryan’s shoulder. The issue here is that Ryan isn’t healthy. He has legitimate damage in his shoulder that needs time. If Ryan is offered a paid match, he’s taking it. It’s up to the promotions to make good matches and make good decisions. This match was a total bust the moment Ryan said he was injured. Under 90kg is absolutely the right move going forward, but being healthy is most important.

Weight classes at the top level are overrated, truth is if you're getting smoked in your division, you're getting smoked one, two even three divisions under as well. The guys aren't weaker, they just shorter or zero legs.

Ryan PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WEIGHT TRAIN YOUR KINGS MOVE SIDEPRESSURE!!!!! some people go into a kings move because it's an instinctual move that is durable and stronger, some people no matter how they do or train the kings move, they just won't be good at it because it's a weak move for them. Half the time you still need to train standard side pressure from the middle to the pin pad, but half the time you need to train from your pin pad to the middle, train your kings move which is a genetic specialty for you, and then you will rise to the top easily. I'm an elite level freerunner, mixed martial artists and weightlifter, I've added in armwrestling training and I've been doing it for a year, my normal side pressure is just fine, no issues or weird weaknesses with any position at all, but my kings move is straight off the bat absurd compared to my regular positions, the strength difference is absolutely insane, like a 1 rep max on normal side pressure is still a warm up rep on kings move pressure. Priorities kings move weightlifting Ryan, don't let your other moves get weak, but priorities your kings move side pressure, priorities open bicep strength, just try it and see what happens, it won't kill you to try :)

You have many years left pulling potentially, if you keep taking matches when you’re not ready it may lessen the opportunities offered if you lose / cannot perform properly. Think of the long game; look at how other combat sport athletes (particularly fighters in MMA and boxing) navigate their career, they are selective about who they fight. It’s not just take any offer. I’ve been following you since like 2018, I do hope you succeed and reach your goals
