While both ladies are great cooks I do believe that Katherine is the better cook of the two. The lemon meringue pie along with Bree ranting over Katherine's salad that she brought to Lynette's luncheon and the croquembouche which Katherine knows how to work with spun sugar and Bree doesn't. In the end Katherine became a millionaire off of her cooking.
i agree, Bree's cooking style was for the family, party with friends kind of thing. But Kathrine's skill was more complicated for restaurant, even creating a business from it

To be quite frank... Katherine was far less pretentious than Bree ... Which is why I always preferred her over Bree ... Until she turned psycho in season 6 .
I love seeing Katherine sabotage Bree’s cooking demonstration with such ease. She sets the stage by only answering the reporter’s when spoken to, and calmly yet effectively praises Bree for her cooking excellence, the exact opposite of Bree’s expectations given their previous exchange. Katherine then fakes a wrist injury with such precision that it speaks to Dana Delaney’s acting skills. She catches Bree of guard by asking her to make the spun sugar veil for the cake knowing Bree will fail. She slips in a few sly remarks, and watches as the caos ensures. Classic Katherine Mayfair at her best. She destroys her enemy by letting her destroy herself.
Same here. I find it surprising how much dislike there is toward Katherine from the fanbase, because I find her fascinating. She was Bree's shadow self and probably could've been written as her sister, if the writers really wanted to go that route (maybe cousin). Katherine knew Bree better than anyone else, and there's no doubt in my mind that she would've stood by Bree's side in Season 8 - through everything that happened.
Those two crack me up. I thought Bree was being a little mean but those two are like sisters, always fighting all the time- me and my sister are just like that, lol. Death glare at the end- classic!

Bree is one of the 4 main star of the show... The other girl was great support. The other cast were more than just support.. They were stars too, like the children... Susan daughter was my least favorite, Julie. But she too was great support. I love Bree's bitchy kids. The Solis kids were great actors. And Scavos were great too.
