those ijn carrier designs (older versions of akagi and kaga) were the best looking to me...I LOVE THEM...maybe they were not practical and capable for newer and bigger planes but from the standpoint of design and looks they were the best lookig designs (in a way they had soul..slick lines...later versions- victory of power and practicality over soul and beauty)...the best looking carriers ever :)) great work on reconstruction!!!

三段空母時代の｢赤城｣を模型製作するならば｢発着艦見張り所(仮艦橋)｣は外せません
航空母艦の創成期故に折角の素材(超弩級戦艦の船体)を活かし切れなかったアンバランスなデザインが素晴らしいです
後世から見れば日本海軍｢赤城｣｢加賀｣に比べ比較的スムーズに戦艦から空母に生まれ変わったように見える米海軍｢サラトガ｣｢レキシントン｣も内部には不具合が多かったそうです
