I desagree. Just came back and the service is great, we were able to eat at one different restaurant each night. They make you take a picture of the reservation in case something goes wrong. The rooms are a little bit outdated but not bad and I found ours very clean. Lastly, the first thing they ask to the guests is not to feed the animals!!
Nice resort if you can find it at a good price. I paid $1512 CAD in Dec 2023. Dont think I would pay much more to go but would go for under $1500 for my own room. Buffet could use more options and the bar service could be better. DONT FEED THE ANIMALS!

That's an easy one. Secrets. Secrets Akumal, or Secrets Maroma in Mexico are great. In Punta Cana, it's Secrets Cap Cana. My brother seats by Sandals Resorts but they are super expensive. Let me know which one you choose.

I think the price varies. We always book through Apple Vacations. If you get a price that is in the budget, then I think it's worth it. Own pool with chair side service. Concierge service to book dinner reservations. Enjoy your trip and I'm greatfull that you watched.
We were very disappointed also. We LOVE Secrets resorts. If you can find a good price for any Secrets resort, you will not be disappointed. Secrets are adults only, so if you have kids, consider Dreams. Dreams is the family friendly version of secrets. Also, we are heading to Punta Cana February 3rd. Staying at Dreams Royal Beach. Haha. No they did not. They said we made you a reservation for tonight, but when we went, they had NO reservation for us. 3 nights we had reservations, but when we arrived at restaurant, there was no record of it. They really were not concerned to make things right.
To be honest, we are not big drinkers so I didn't even notice. I can tell you that Sercets has top shelf everything. To be honest, we would not return to Grand Sunset. Better option are available.

Everybody vacations different. We love the 5 star service and good food at Secrets. Some people just need a chair by the pool and a good drink. I'm sure you will have a great vacation. One thing I will point out though. There is NO drink service at your pool chair unless you have Platinum package and go to the Platinum pool. That was one thing that shocked me. There was always a long line at the beach bar if you want a drink.
Yes. You will enjoy Platinum Club. Platinum pool is nice and quiet with poolside service. The only place they bring drinks to your chair. They will also make dinner reservations for you in the Platinum club. Enjoy
