So Sarah, please once wear the Mekhela Sador how it's supposed to, you can easily learn through Vida on YT before making a kurta out of it, or you can keep it as it is and wear it whenever you are in Assam (do try to come during April maybe, it's when we celebrate Rongali Bihu, one of the 3 bihus and one of the most important festivals celebrated here) 😊❤

There are no direct flights from Mumbai to Guwahati but if you come via Kolkata it would be much feasible. If you are ever planning to visit seven sisters then definitely visit Odisha also. Loved the gamusa on you! It is pronounced as "gaa muuu saaa" "गामुसा" and the other clothing item is not saree, its called mekhela sador pronounced as "मेखेला सादर" something that looks similar to a saree when you wear it! Its our traditional clothing which we wear during our famous "Bihu dance" and in general also people wear mekhela sador here! Sador is the upper part in hindi "chadar" and mekhela is the lower part! I hope it helps ❤ and please visit Assam and basically 7 sisters! You are literally missing out on heaven 🤌🏻😭 and don't come in summer to Assam it is hot or raining! The land of floods na😂 come in winter! Then you will be able to visit arunachal also which is just next door neighbour of Assam! But if you want to visit the cold places like meghalaya and sikkim then visit those in summer!

Have been to Darjeeling and the weather over there is to die for😭🤌🏻 also yes there's no direct flight to Darjeeling, you've to land at Siliguri Airport and take a car ride to Darjeeling which is 3 to 4 hrs long ig🥲 but roads itne beautiful hai ki pata hi nahi chalta time kahape jata hai😭🤌🏻💕

It's very much similar to saree and very easy to wear. So you can wear it as a sador mekhela in some special occasions replacing the saree, without making a kurta from the material. You can watch some tutorials, in case you're wondering how to stitch it.🦋

Have been to Darjeeling and the weather over there is to die for😭🤌🏻 also yes there's no direct flight to Darjeeling, you've to land at Siliguri Airport and take a car ride to Darjeeling which is 3 to 4 hrs long ig🥲 but roads itne beautiful hai ki pata hi nahi chalta time kahape jata hai😭🤌🏻💕

If you want to come to North East then first come to Shillong and see this city, from there you can go to many beautiful places like Cherrapunji and Dwaki, each place will take only a day and then you can go to Guwahati and see it all. *Please don't make a kurta from the SADOR MEKHELA that you've recieved. It's very much similar to saree and very easy to wear. So you can wear it as a sador mekhela in some special occasions replacing the saree, without making a kurta from the material. You can watch some tutorials, in case you're wondering how to stitch it.🦋

Such a treat to watch this video and so nostalgic it is as we were in Assam for 3 years as my husband is in the Defence 😊and there is a direct flight from Mumbai to Guwahati so you should start with Assam and then you can cover Shillong as it’s very close to Guwahati 😃also the saree type cloth is pronounced as मेखला सादर 😅
