Girls can protect themselves, the fears parents have for their children are their own fears that they project on their children, you have to talk to your children, build a trust with them, guide them and love them, they will respect and listen to you. I brought my children up as equals e.g if I've taught my daughter to make her bed then I've also taught my son to make his bed, if my daughter can stay out all night then so can my son, and they do, as they got older they got more freedom because i built that trust with them.
Every country is different, every society is different and every family is different. Just because something works in America, etc doesn’t mean it can be practiced everywhere...people are different. Parents fear for their children as they know in our country(Pakistan) children are not protected. Same is the case with adults by the way. We do not want another zainab (the girl who was raped in Kasur) and we also know that our government cannot protect each and every individual as we don’t have the resources to do so, so as a preventive measure parents themselves don’t allow their children to do specific activities as no one is going to help us when the need arises. Either protect your children, put restrictions on them even if they don’t like it, to protect them or lose them forever

When I saw you treading the same path feeling lonely, I thought I need to do my duty to my Lord and show you that there is no problem at all when God Is Your Guide and Friend. Because after all when you already have crossed a path and you know the pain of loneliness and The Benevolent Rescuing Power Of God's Presence which will ease every thorn out of your life , you want to help others as much as possible.

yup agreed. I was looking for a comment like this. I dont get his point. like if theres a public hanging going on, you have an example for your kids like "agr tum aisi harkat karo gey to ye outcome hoga" and that's potentially stopping violence and r*p* so I also totally disagree with shaveer. and also when he said "ok then why dont we normalize hitting out kids if they dont do their homework" that is NOT a comparable example to public hangin and setting an example for your kids
