Thank you for visiting our beautiful town, glad you loved it. It’s really a hidden little gem. Murtoa is aboriginal for ‘home of the lizard’ and the town just celebrated its 150 years. Murtoa was originally called Marma Gully. The cafe next to the supermarket is called Cafe Marma. Named after our Lake Marma. We also are lucky enough to have a third cafe opening soon with 7 day trading. The lazy lizard. Fun personal fact: My grandparents feature on the second floor water tower museum in a news article from The Sun in the 1980’s. / Norm Tepper, chev wrecker. Really enjoyed the episode. We hope to see you guys back again on your travels soon 😊 definitely come back for Murtoa’s Big Weekend. First weekend in October every year, a weekend full of history and fun; agricultural show, outdoor cinema, fireworks, live music, art show, car show, market, colour runs, Murtoa races and so much more. It’s a weekend not to be missed.
Hi Katelyn, Thank you for the response, and thorough insight of your beautiful town. We enjoyed visiting and would love to come back for Murtoa's October festivities. What a great way to cherish your family history, with having some of it on display in the tower. Adam
Nice wrap-up of my home town guys! I've done walk through videos of the stick shed and the water tower museum on my channel previously - and it's great the little town gets some positive TH-cam promotion! 👍😊 Glad you sorted out the bridge confusion! 🤣 If you are back in the area, make sure you check out Wood's museum at Rupanyup nearby, it's beyond amazing!!
Hi Kate, the pub wasnt open, so we could only see it from the outside and through the windows. We do mention in the video that the owner is currently doing it up and looking for someone to run it. Deano

Hey guys! Love the video! Do you have any content from when you visited the pub in Murtoa? ❤
Hi Kate, the pub wasnt open, so we could only see it from the outside and through the windows. We do mention in the video that the owner is currently doing it up and looking for someone to run it. Deano
Why did you use the small extension box? Wouldn't a single 20A extension lead do the job?
Hi Astro, the extension cord wouldnt fit the powered source, so used our caravan / camping extension (orange box). Deano
