Good looking city, but often full of tourists, and not only Belgian tourists^^ I would still recommend for their "couques", a big biscuit made with honey that is a specialty of the city. As a Belgian, I go there every so often just to buy a few.
I found two nasty things in Dinant as i passed thru on the way back from Poland. 1. They charge extortionate money for head ache pills. 2. They won't even give you a glass of water with your meal. That's my one and only experience with Belgium/Holland.

yes and as a belgian, i will also add to eat them with a coffee or a hot chocolate because otherwise the couques are too hard to be eaten.
