Everyone is going crazy about this song. Listen to this all the time in early sixties, The Temptations, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Smoky Robinson, soul music.
It was and Hercules was an ode to Eddie Murphy in Nutty Professor. Eddie played most of the characters at the table & his mom character did that "Hercules, hercules".
Call me crazy (especially since I was born in the late 60s)...but I can SO picture David Ruffin of the Temptations (in his prime and if he was living today) singing these lyrics and passing out (likely while hitting his signature high notes). 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
