- Here's a list of beginner friendly houseplants that's a bit different than the usual options.
These may require a little more attention but you'll get a much nicer plant to enjoy, I'll release a short care guide for each of these plants over the week and with a little care and attention you'll have a plant you can enjoy for years. - บันเทิง
Any sort of coleus. Put it in your brightest windowsill and water it when the leaves droop. It grows really fast and there are so many different types with stunning leaves
@@tandemabutere excellent advice
I’d love a philodendron splendid. Also love the channel name 🤘
Thanks 😁 I'd really recommend them, they're much easier to look after than the parent plants, I really need to get that one on a moss pole ASAP 🤣
You picked some good ones. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, you're very welcome, do you have any on the list? All of them? Plan to? 😂
@@The_plant_punk Yes, I have the A. clarinervium and the marantha . And will be getting the cebu blue shortly.
@cruelsister1 the Cebu blue was one of my first plants, it's done me proud
I have a few suggestions.
Monstera Siltepecana is the easiest, most forgiving plant and grows like a weed. Monstera Tetrasperma is another good one for beginners.
Pretty much any type of syngonium but especially the mojito - that's really fast growing. Totally agree with the person who suggested coleus, extremely easy and fast and comes in a huge range of colours.
You could even go alocasia too - Wentii, Regal Shield and Low Rider often pop up in Aldi but another incredibly easy one which sizes up like a pro and looks more unusual is Dragon's Breath.
I'm jealous of your maranta, they don't grow well for me.
@@DawnLeca I love my Siltepecana, agree on the mojito, Alocasias can be hit and miss for me, the Wentii 100% grows well in soil, leca, pon no issues, even the dragon scale seems happy with me, low rider 🤷 never got on well at my house
@@DawnLeca with all these suggestions I might extend the list and do another 5 some of these I hadn't even considered but are spot on for starters
I think any of the heartleaf philodendron varieties would be a perfect beginner plant.
Definitely, apart from Micans! They know what they did and I'm not ready to forgive them yet 😂
I have like, so many, and my Micans is actually doing the best right now! all the other ones have a less favorable window in the winter though. I think you reccomending the marantha might give me the courage to try it this year :D
@@superarild yeah me and Micans don't work together, 🤷 sometimes things don't click I guess
