I fly into LAX in June and booked the Corvette “or similar” from Thurs to Tues, for 949.00 before fees/tax. Seems they have quite a selection of the C8s! Hoping I don’t have to find out what “similar” means…😊
Yeah I'm really not sure what to do with GM cancelling the Camaro. I don't really need to own a car right now but have been thinking about getting an order in for one before they are all gone.
The earlier you can pick up that weekend likely the better selection. Having said that they do have a lot of cars and when they start running low they tend to throw anything in the aisle including luxury And convertibles and luxury SUVs.
@@CarRentalGuy Hey, I still struggle a bit to understand what you mean by "sharing the same fleet". Let´s say, when I see in this national video a truck as you said and I booked this category through Alamo, I can go to National and get that truck? Or let´s say I booked a challenger or similar category through Alamo but would like to upgrade to the challenger GT I saw in yyour national video, is that possible? Or when you say "sharing", it means when it gets more miles, they move it to Alamo? Thanks!
@@marekhula6645 great question I should try and explain this in more detail. I keep thinking of doing a Q&A video and that would be a good one. You are right on though. Once cars get over 20,000 miles they no longer put them in the aisle at National and they move over to Enterprise and Alamo. If you are curious what trucks Alamo has for example they’re likely higher mileage ones of what you see at National. Some smaller Alamo locations will actually pull a full size or whatever you booked out of the national aisle. As for taking the Challenger GT you mentioned it never hurts to ask. Technically it’s possible but they usually try and save the lower mileage cars for the national brand customers. Having said that there are likely Challenger GTs over at Alamo depending on what’s in and not out on the road just with higher miles.
Nice choice! We’re going to be at national on Friday at LAX, so it’s good to see what we can expect. Would you say the selection would still be good at around 8:30?
Nice! Will be renting a car from Alamo (standard SUV), any chance I can get a Jeep wrangler or something from that class? See a lot of them here in your vid in National
It never hurts to ask. Will likely depend how many they have available and how many they are holding for reservations when you show up. They can command a bit of a premium in the summer since the freedom tops on the roof come off making it almost like a convertible. It should be bookable as a separate class if you really want one although not sure how much more they would charge. They also have some of the e models which I believe give you a 10-30 mile range on battery only. Would love to try one of those!
@@CarRentalGuy Thanks a lot for your reply, and here with one more question, I am the EE member of National, in your opinion, which choice can get a better car compared from make reservation of full-size to pick from Executive selection or book the luxury?
I'll be renting a Atlas or similar from enterprise in a couple of weeks in Seattle. I think those include Highlander, cx9 don't know what else may be in that class.
In most cases just by class. You can also take a look at Enterprise LAX as they have some more classes bookable than National/Alamo including one that the Corvette would be in.
Love the rental car videos still. I was wondering if you will be doing a walk around the different car rental companies in the new Terminal C at MCO in Orlando?
So there is no stingray R. I was there a few weeks ago and I saw that exact same C8 there. That car was a used purchase to add to the fleet. The previous owner put the punisher decals on the hood and the really tacky sticker on the side 😅 coincidently it was parked in the exact same spot as in your video and that was the first thing I noticed....corvette people are weird sometimes.
Ah ha! I knew something didn’t look right about that Stingray R. Makes sense it’s just decals. I figured they bought it used. Thanks for sharing. Hoping to rent a C8 on a future trip.
I love your videos! Are you going to the orlando airport anytime soon? i am going next month and reserved a full size suv from alamo and hertz. I am curious as to what they have before i decide which one of the two companies i will go with.
Thanks for your videos they have been a great help planning my holidays! Is there a difference between alamo and national? Alamo is a bit cheaper, can I boom with them or should I pay the premium for national?
Are you due to go LAS anytime soon? I've got a booking with Hertz there in July for the hertz Mustang Shelby GT500-H and then a T6 extra capacity SUV. So wondering what they have on fleet.
Oh thanks for the heads up. I need to look for GT500 availability. I wondered what happened to them! I was actually at LAS but the lot was fairly empty so didn’t bother to make a video. I didn’t see any GT500s.
@@CarRentalGuy Great content. I'm hoping it works out with my Hertz rentals as it's been a while since I've used them in the US. Looking at your vids it looks like the other companies have better choice of cars these days..
Thanks for the feedback you are totally right. I was actually in a rush now that I think of it. Didn’t realize that I was rushing the video at the time of filming. Next time I’ll make note of that and slow down a bit.
I miss your rental car videos
Hey Kevin thanx for posting! So great to see a fleet update video like this again 😉… greetings from Germany and happy Easter!
Thanks, you too!

Thanks for another LAX share buddy
Thanks for watching!
Thanks. It's always interesting seeing what's out there. Sad that GM is canceling the Camaro.

Hope their selection is like this in early July. I feel all the good cars will be gone around the 4th.

Please please please show the truck selection at Alamo LAX when you can. Thank you!!
For sure will do. If you see any trucks in this national video in the aisle Alamo shares the same fleet.

LAS was fairly empty although they did have cars. Wasn’t enough to make a video. Hopefully next time they’ll have more on the lot.

Hey if you happen to stop by New York I would appreciate a video on national at JFK
This video makes me feel like I am at LAX. Thanks for this. Also I would choose the Mercedes.

Where you able to pass by hertz Lax to see there fleet?
I didn’t have a chance to stop by but was able to see their lot from the road driving past and it was looking pretty empty.
What may i expect now for premium elite suv? Is it nice option?
I really need to update this video but have a look here for some ideas. th-cam.com/video/xwatK-wi0v8/w-d-xo.html
